Disappointed
These do look nice and do not extend too far to the sides, but they are called marker lights probably because they are not DOT approved. They come with small dome 23 watt bulbs which may not work with older (non-electronic) flasher relays like my bike has. Unlike another reviewer, I doubt that an 1156 bulb would fit unless the socket were removed and the leads soldered directly to the bulb. Also, while the outer housing is very reflective, the inner part is not and while lit, most of the light appears on the outer 40% of the already small lens. For those who are still interested, they come with a 10 mm thread and may benefit from a rubber mount of some kind because there is none built in. Don't know how vibration resistant these bulbs are.

Aluminum. Oooh shiny.
These are nice for the price. They are bright and easy to see from a distance. The shape is good and the quality is OK. I first bought a pair as marker lights on my dual sport. Now I am replacing some tiny and dim aftermarket turn signals with these on my ZRX. One note, none of the 6 turn signals I got have a 1056 or 1057 bulb in them. They come with some hard to find specialty bulb. But a 1056 or 1057 will fit and are a lot cheaper. With a little work, the 1056 will fit even better.

series 2 blinkers are only 2-3/16". I'm not sure if they need to be round but the series 1 are 3-5/16"

What is the bulb type?
LOCKHART PHILLIPS ALUMINUM SERIES TURN SIGNALS Do they use 1156 or 1157 bulbs?

Well, the type of bulb actually depends on the type of turn signal you go with. The dual fillament signals will use the 1157 bulbs, and the single fillament signals will use the 1156 bulbs.

The Series 2 come with an expensive specialty bulb. The 1156 or 1157 will fit, but come really close, maybe touch, the lens on the Series 2. You can mod the socket to get a little more room or just live with it. I've got long life 1156 bulbs in mine as the original bulbs only lasted a few hours.
