Overall
Never had a problem out of the tires, but the mileage is terrible on these. I bought after reading several reviews that raved about the mileage that people were getting and didn't even come close to what people had written. I got just over 3K and am pretty disappointed by this. If you are looking for a tire that you can get just a few thosand miles from then these are great but I wouldn't expect much more out of them.

Best Tire ever purchased
This is my second set of BT016 tires, my first set lasted me 9 thousand miles, I rode everywhere on them. Through the city and over the mountains, the harder I leaned over the tire never quit gripping. I Stand by this tire, and I have gotten all of my friends to switch over to them!

Great Track Day tire
I bought this for track days only based on a recommendation. Ran my first day @ VIR, wet in the morning but held nicely. Once it dried up no slippage what so ever. I started pressure at 30f/30r and had a bit of cold tearing after lunch lowered the cold temp to 30f/28r. but could of standed to go a bit lower on the rear. No matter how choppy I got on the throttle this tire held on.

Excellent Tire
This is a excellent set of tires. But for the people who like to get 5-6k out of a set, this is not for you. This tire wears fast. I got about 3k out of the rear and 4k of the front. They warm up fast and hold the road. The tire does the job that it was intended for. This tire was holding even after it was down to the metal band check out the pic

No, this tire is more for a sport bike. if you like the Bridgestone Battlax i would go with the BT021. BT021 is a sport touring tire with awesome performance and great mileage.
