Hirotake Arai started his company in 1926 making hats. Today, Arai racing helmets are renowned in the racing world for comfort, safety and innovation. Ranked #1 (including one tie) in all 13 J.D. Power and Associates Motorcycle Helmet Satisfaction studies, Arai helmets protect all four current American MotoGP racers, the 2008 Indianapolis 500 winner and NASCAR drivers Jeff Gordon, Jeff Burton and Juan Pablo Montoya.
All Arai helmets are handmade and the company’s attention to detail is paramount. Every Arai helmet endures three separate quality-control phases. The first is after the shell is made, then after painting and graphic completion, and finally once assembled. Each helmet is signed on the inside by the worker who created it. If that isn’t enough, the Arai helmet warranty is five years.
