Thankfully i haven't gone down with them but I'm pretty confident they will hold up. The only downfall to this glove is there's no wrist protection. But thats what they have gauntlet gloves for."

"As the other reviews state..these gloves are very comfortable due to the quality of the materials used. The only thing that reminds me that they're on is the feeling of the knuckle protection when making a fist. They offer great grip and the ventilation is superb...although a little too cold for days less than 50 degrees. I haven't gone down with them(thankfully) but it seems as though the protection on the palm is o.k. for a low speed crash, but may not hold up if you decide to go street surfing on your palms. The backhand side offers much more protection with the knuckle plate."

They are my favorite gloves for warm rides, although the excelent venting makes them a poor choice on cold days. Mine are getting worn out, but they have held up well. I will be replacing them with another pair of Alpinstars soon."

Unique design makes the glove not become so tight when you make a fist. These are replacing a pair of Cortech gloves which were the same price two years ago. The Alloy gloves are much more comfortable. Highly recommended."

Alpinestars – Legendary Innovation

Sante Mazzarolo founded Alpinestars in 1963 in Asolo, Italy. Alpinestars first made hiking and ski boots but a short two years later the company introduced its first motorcycle boot – it included an innovative steel shin protector and a buckle closure system rather than laces.

A decade later, Alpinestars marketed protective boots featuring toe sliders and enhanced levels of protection for the motorcycle road racing circuit giving the company a loyal following. In the 1990s, Alpinestars rolled out additional protective gear including gloves, jackets and full leather suits.
