Excellent grips for racers, Photo wrong color!
As of March-1-2013, the grip in the photo still shows the soft as the dark grey. This is incorrect. The softs only come in light grey. The photo looks like a Renthal grip, but the logo in missing. (see attached photo) I have asked costumer support to display the correct photos about a month ago.
Rental makes three compounds available with each compound specific to a color. The colors for each compound and their related Renthel part numbers are as followed.
Part Number - Compound - Color
G147 - Soft - light grey
G148 - Medium - Medium grey
G149 - Firm - Dark grey
The photo I attached is of the medium compound/medium gray that I ordered, but you have to call them up. Due to the mediums not being listed on their website, they had to special order them. I received the grips in about 5 working days, which I was very happy about.
Pros:
The mediums last me 2 riding seasons. They are thinner and much softer then your standard stock grips, thus providing excellent gripability and feed back. By feed back, I mean any and all vibrations are easily transferred through the grips and into your hands, thus allowing you more sensitivity to tire grip, even little pebbles.
Cons: If you don't have a smooth running machine, you could get a numb hand from the vibrations.
Overview:
If you don't want to feel the road underneath you, then don't get these, but if you want to know exactly what going on underneath you and use the most successful grip in road racing history..."then add to cart!"
