Product Description

  • This item is considered hazardous material. Orders containing this product will ship ground only and cannot be shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, or US Territories.
  • Formulated for high heat, 4-stroke motorcycle racing applications only.
  • If the bike is used for high performance riding and it will be operating at or near redline for extended periods of time, this is your oil.
  • HP4M with Moly is a blend for synthetic and petroleum base stocks.
  • The synthetic portion is very effective, in high heat applications, at reducing oxidization, evaporation, and viscosity loss.
  • It also contains molybdenum (moly), a very slippery substance. The moly contributes to less friction and heat in high temperature situations, therefore allowing the motor to rev easier, creating more horsepower!
  • So if horsepower is your goal; HP4M is your oil.
  • 1 quart.

I only use this in my engine on my Hondas. Do not put this oil in the clutch side.

I was told to run this oil in my 07 crf 450, Would you recommand to do that or no?

I hate to say it, but oil choice is really more of a personal preference thing than just about anything else. I personally don't think that I'd run this moly-oil in my bike (but that's just due to the fact that I don't run a Honda). So seeing as how your motor oil and clutch oil is separate and you can get away with running this type of oil, you certainly have the option to run it...however, I don't think I could personally recommend it.

Yes you can run this oil in your 07 but only in the engine side not the clutch side.

I have been told that you can't use oil with moly in a wet clutch is this true?

Yes, that is true. Any kind of synthetic oil with a Moly-additive has been specifically designed to eliminate as much friction as possible, so you definitely don't want to run these oils in your clutch. Having said that, if your motor oil is separate from your gearbox oil (take newer Hondas, for example), you could very well run this Moly oil in your motor and see no "side effects" of the Moly-additive since the clutch uses separate oil. However, I personally don't think I could recommend running any of these Moly-additive oils. When in doubt, I'd just have to suggest running whatever oil is recommended in your bike's owner's manual!

Yes it is true, because it is too slippery to run in the clutch.
