These are disposable rim savers. The rubber is so soft that I pinched a hole right through them with the tire iron. They are good for 1~3 tires before falling apart.
K&L Rim Savers are the superior product and cost less.
Will work for what they are intended for but not the fastest or easiest tool to deal with. Also plastic is soft and can be gouged if the tire iron puts a lot of pressure on it. Will protect your rims but not very easy to work with in my opinion.
I purchased one pair of the rim protectors to do my VFR wheels they do save the finish but it would be better with two pairs so you would not have to keep moving them. I did notice that they are made out of a fairly soft matierial so if you put to much pressure on the tire lever the rim protector will split so your tire levers need to be closer together to reduce the pressure on each lever.
