The cable BARELY fits an 86 ATC 250r
" I purchased this clutch cable for an 86 ATC 250r (since the site said it would fit) and I had to adjust it fully to allow things to work properly. The minute the cable stretches any at all it will need to be replaced. Stick with OEM, it is worth the money and you KNOW it will fit what you are looking for. "

you get what you pay for
" I bought this cable for a CRF 250r, because the original frayed right where it stars to enter the perch assembly. As stated by other people, It was too long. Because of this, you can route it the stock way, it has to go over to the right side of the tripple clamps, then loop back to the left and down the frame. I didnt do this, because I figured it should fit like stock, because of this it bent up significantly before entering the perch at a angle. So it rubbed and rubbed and eventually frayed and broke. I got about 50 hours out of it before it snapped. But, its cheap and you get what you pay for, so I cant say its terrible. "

" Good quality cable and easy to install. I used a paper funnel, taped to the top of the cable, to direct spray silicone lubricant onto the cable. I moved the cable up and down after each spray, and repeated this until the lube dripped out the bottom of the cable. Then I curled the cable into a "U" shape and let it sit overnight. "

Cable works good.
" Ive bought this item for an 02' CR125 and CR250. It works good. It was a bit longer than the stock 250 cable so I had to reroute a little bit because it kept getting pinched in between the forks and frame. On the 125 the inner cable was a bit longer than stock so once it is adjusted to the correct freeplay there isnt much adjustment left. All in all they work good though. "

Manufacturing Mishap
" I purchased this cable to replace a stock cr250 cable. Unfortunately the cable sleeve was almost 1/2 inch to long, as well the cable itself was not quite a 1/2 inch to long. With a little communication with the always helpful Motosport staff, I was able to exchange this cable for an upgraded T-2 cable also made by Motion Pro that the cable ends were apparently reversed in the manufacturing process. I later just exchanged this cable for a stock OEM cable the worked just fine for a few dollars less. "

What is the difference between this and a T2 clutch cable?
Asked by pflugs21, Probo, UT
This would be a direct OEM type replacement clutch cable. The T2 cable has thicker housing and thicker cable for more durability and less stretching.
Answered by james718
The T2 has a special sleeve with is supposed to make it last longer, and the inside has a anti-friction polymer sleeve to prevent wear and rubbing.
Answered by NW33, Annapolis, MD
Is this cable longer than OEM?
Asked by dhash
These are all OEM type replacement cables. If you need longer than stock, you may need to get one custom made.

IS THIS CABLE THE RIGHT FIT FOR AN 2001 KX 250??
Asked by STIM, LEXINGTON.NC
These cables are direct OEM type replacement cables. As long as you input you year/make/model correctly you'll receive the correct cable.
Answered by james718
Which cable do I get thats in the picture?
Asked by Bwp9213
the image is a generic depiction of a clutch cable and doesn't necessarily show what your application has. These are stock OEM type replacement cables, you'll get the cable that looks similar to your make/mode/year.
Answered by james718, USA
The larger, single clutch cable
