Held Titan Gloves

I am a gear fanatic, and as such I usually want the best of the best. In that quest, I usually buy several of what is considered the best in a category of riding gear and then decide for myself what I think is best. Protection and performance are my two biggest criteria. Gear is supposed to minimize injuries, and I ride in hot weather so ventilation is very important. Lastly, the gear has to be comfortable and move in the right ways so it doesn't distract from riding. With that criteria, the Held Titan gloves are absolutely top-of-the-line and better than ANY glove, period. I've owned/returned/sold the following gloves after comparing to the Held Titan - Alpinestars GP-Tech, Dainese Full Metal Racer, Spidi Carbo Race and Five RFX1 Race Replica. The protection is superior with stingray skin sliders (most abrasion-resistant material with low friction coefficient), Titanium armour, scaphoid/wrist sliders and a big gauntlet. Kangaroo in the palm ensures a nice feel for the controls. Held has made the top-of-the-line gloves for many years and now the Titan is their crown jewel. I haven't crash tested these (yet) but I've crashed enough to know where the protection needs to be and this covers all the bases. On top of that, they are perforated and pre- curved so they are super comfortable. The only knock I give them is that the inside of the gloves are just a but rougher than some others I've tried, so they are just shy of perfect. Remember - buy the best because you'll only do it once!
