Like the original "Racing" jacket, but improved

This jacket has not changed substantially from the original Dainese Racing Pelle of a few years ago. Where it differs is in the armor. Much of the armor in the shoulders and elbows has been beefed up a modest amount. I have crashed twice in my original Racing jacket, and it has held up fairly well, only developing a small hole over the elbow plastic. This jacket is just as durable as my older jacket, and I expect many years of service.

Note: Like all Dainese gear, the break-in period is tremendously uncomfortable. The leather is stiff, the joints inflexible, and the hard armor can dig into your skin until the leather gets worked out enough to make everything a bit more flexible. This process can take from several weeks to a few months, depending on weather and how much time is spent riding.
