I bought these tires for my 04 Yamaha R1. To be honest, i did not do much research on this tire. I was sold on it based upon the look and the one review i read from this website that claimed it was an incredible tire. I bought a set and put them on in high hopes of a great performing tire. I took the bike out for a few rides to get the slick surface off until i really put them to the test. Once i was comfortable that the tire was warm and scuffed up i took on the curved roads with much disappointment. Hooking up to the road was rare. The tire felt as if it was walking on you and taking off hard the tire would slip. Even in the rain i was not impressed. My theory is that the combination of a slightly harder compound and the individual lugs in the tread allowed the tire to slip and give a bit. The best word to describe this tire is SPONGY. This tire might be adequate for a 600cc sport bike but for an enthusiest rider or a more powerful bike it is a bad choice. I soon got rid of them despite the fact that they were still fairly new and went back to the dunlop qualifier, which in my opinion is the optimal tire, whether you are riding street or track.
