Seems to work
It was easy to cut and shape. It has been on my tank now for a few months and is still holding.

Works OK.
Purchased and installed this heat shield after painting bike. Edges dont have much adhesive and will come up. Make sure surface is clean and free of Oil and dust as this will not stick if its not.

Did the Job perfectly
Great and easy to manipulate. I used it for my track bike 07 Suzuki Gsxr 600, and put it on the belly pan of Armour Bodies race body. I ran bike on a stand and check for body temp. stayed cool to the touch even when the thermostat kicked in at 220* Side note -I have aftermarket headers on as well

Heat protection
This is a good replacement for the factory heat protection under the exhaust side number plate. The 12 x 24in sheet was just the right amount for the whole number plate. I almost ordered the 12 x 12in sheet which would not have been enough. Cutting it to fit is easy, just takes a few minutes. I am not sure about the durability yet. The factory stuff didn't last any time when using a power washer. Based on looks and install time I give it 4 stars.

Keep cool
Great product for keeping parts of your machine cool. New or old this stuff can really help you out. Helps keep your gas from boiling in the tank on long or hot days which increases performance, protects plastics from the heat of the engine and exhaust, and you can just cut and stick it anywhere. I have some on my cannondale quad next to the exhaust and on the bottom of the tank, kx250f tank, and on my Aprilia sxv.

Excellent Reflect-a-Tape
Very nice tape for use around exhaust pipe/canister. I have an undertail exhaust and installed it under the entire inner fender. It forms very nicely to uneven surfaces and stays intact.

Is this good for protecting fairings?
Over 4 years ago Location: Ankeny, IA
This is an excellent product for protecting fairings. I put a chin fairing on one of my bikes and lined the area of the fairing that's next to the header pipe with this tape. I have not had any issues with discoloration of the paint on the fairing. In fact, after a ride, the fairing area next to the exhaust is not even hot.

How does it work?
the pipes on our bike is burning my wifes legs. do you just wrap the pipes with it? And does it crack the pipes?

You would use it as a heat barrier. It is used quite often on the bottom of saddlebags above the pipes. I would'nt put it directly on the pipes. You might want to re-locate the passenger pegs higher to avoid the heat from the pipes. Give us a call to discuss the options.
