Product Description

  • DEI has made it obvious that exhaust wraps are not created equal. DEI has developed their exhaust wrap with superior quality that shows when installed on your motorcycle.
  • DEI makes it easy to install their exhaust wrap on your motorcycle's exhaust system by adding ¼ inch guidelines. DEI is the only exhaust wrap manufacture to offer this feature.
  • The exhaust wrap is extremely efficient because it is constructed out of hi-temp fiberglass composite material in addition to a proprietary coating.

Works great to cover up the ugly chrome mid pipe on my 05 R6. Works so well I don't have to worry about a possible burnt ankle after a ride.

DEI Exhaust wrap
As usual my order was received extremely fast . this product was a must for my 1982 GS 1100 looks awesome and easy to install. one set back is that DEI sells the ties separate. I feel it should be sold as a set wraps and ties together. still great product.. THX motosport.

The 2 inch doesn't wrap tight bends on exhaust easily. I ended up buying the 1 inch instead. Don't forget stainless wireties or stainless wire to hold it in place.

WORKS GREAT...LOOKS AMAZING
A must have for a hot running exhaust! Keeps the heat off your legs and in the pipe. Also, adds a nice finishing touch to that exhaust and over time your exhaust starts to look old, just wrap it up, and good as new!

Works Great
I put this on my four stroke yz426f. It helps a LOT with keeping your leg from roasting, and also while idling I've noticed lower temperature readings most likely because its not radiating as much heat under the right radiator. Makes it a little quieter on stock head pipe but not too much. Overall it works great, would buy again. Also make sure you buy some clamps. Note: Does not have to be DEI clamps, auto clams work good too.

Works good
I have full Dasa exhaust and my header was hot with my leg next to it so i bought this DEI wrap in the titanium and it has help keep most of the heat away from my leg and made riding much more better. Installing this is a little tidious so i highly suggest having someone help you because you have to keep the wrap tight around the headers.

Is it only used to prevent leaks?

It is used to keep the heat from the header from disipating out. In return some people believe you get better performance. I could see it working well from keeping the header from heating up the carb & rear shock resi. If not put on correctly it will quicky look bad and is messy.

Is there any protection difference between the 1 inch and 2 inch wraps?

No difference. I'd think about how tight the bends are in the exhaust you plan to wrap. Than purchase accordingly.

Applications???
I have a slight exhaust leak where the pipe meets the cylinder, can I tightly wrap it around the end of the pipe (where the o-rings are) to stop the leak and again, where the pipe meets the silencer??

You could, it's not the best fix but it will work for a little bit but personally I would replace those o-rings first and see if that solves the leak.

You wrap it around your exhaust pipes. It pretty much acts as a heat shield.
