Q: Do these chattterboxes mount onto the helmet or where?
2 years 12 months ago
We have the Chatterbox FRS Multi-Sport +, they worked good when we first got them but 1 wouldn't work so we bought batteries for both. Now they don't work at all. We even replaced the buttons for the handlebars, but like I said they worked fine for awhile. Then nothing on 1 of them.
A: The Chatterbox Duo Communicators are meant to be mounted to full face helmets. The Kit would include mounts for both communicators. I would recommend getting in contact with Chatterbox directly to see if there is any type of warranty they could do on your Chatterbox FRS Multi-Sport units.
Q: Would these work with dirtbikes?
Like would the noise be too much to be able to have them with another rider on the track talking to eachother
A: Normally the Chatterbox Duo Communicators would be used by riders on the street but you shouldn't have any issues with using them while riding dirt bikes. It is hard to say how much the noise from the bike will effect the Communicators, a lot of sportbikes and cruisers have very loud exhaust systems so I would imaging it wouldn't be any issue with a dirt bike. These comunicators will have a maximum range of 200 yards, so if you get further apart than that they may start to cut out.

Q: Can you pair these with other Chatterbox units?
A: The radios are water resistant, not waterproof. Chatterbox does not recommend using the radios on your helmet in the rain. The LCD displays may fog up and the radios might be effected. They recommend using a headset ext. cord and at least placing your radio in your pocket when it rains.
