REV'IT! Regent Shoes REV'IT! Regent Shoes Cerberus - Houston Regent Boots are great "I ordered a pair of the brown in size 46, and was a little apprehensive because I have a high instep on my right foot. I wear a 10.5 D shoe in American measurements, so my feet are wide to begin with. When I first received the boots and tried them on, the left fit great but the right was very snug as I feared. I thought about giving them to my brother, but decided instead to wear them for awhile and see if the leather would stretch. I haven't been wearing them but a few days, and I can already tell they are starting to form to my foot. Glad I didn't send them to my brother. Anyway, if you have wide feet be aware these boots may be too snug. However, if they only feel a little tight, they may loosen up and wear well after they're broken in. If you have narrow feet, these boots will probably be perfect out of the box. As for the shoe design. The browns look really nice. The boots aren't too thick in the toe either like my other boots, so sliding your left foot between the peg and shifter is relatively easy. Don't know how the boots will stand up over time, but I'm hoping they're with me for awhile. Besides, they look pretty good with jeans, either on or off the bike."

Motorcycle Boots: More than Just Image

Motorcycle riders never compromise. Be it a day long journey or a quick trip to the store we always gear up. Helmet, pants, jacket, gloves and motorcycle boots. Every piece of armor is attached to our body every time. When we're rushed and just want to get out the door it's certainly tempting to cut corners and the boot is often the first thing to go. The bottom line is motorcycle boots are indeed an aspect of the complete motorcycle image but in reality it's all about protection.

There are more than two dozen bones that construct the feet and ankles and they are small and intricate. Our feet and ankles are simply not designed to withstand a high speed impact on their own. Moreover, the average weight of a motorcycle is 400 pounds and a canvas shoe or sandals won't provide any protection against the weight of a bike or the heat from the engine in the event you lose your balance and fall over.

Therefore, think of your riding gear as a puzzle. When the puzzle is complete you're ready to ride. Motorcycle boots represent the bottom section of your puzzle. You're not done gearing up if any pieces of your puzzle are missing.
