I waited to review this helmet until I had adequate time to ride with it. It fits slightly snug in the face cheek area, and I am thin. It is very comfortable to wear though. The vents open and close easily while worn. I've worn this helmet in temperatures down as low as about 38 degrees fahrenheit and I don't recommend using it below about 45 degree unless you tape the vents closed. There are 2 open exhaust vents in the rear of the helmet which do not close. It has rectangles rather than D rings for strap fastening, and I find them more cumbersome to unfasten. The extension tab to loosen the strap does work well enough though. I find the rectangular rings more cumbersome to connect to some bike helmet holders too and prefer a D ring design. The dangling strap hold down is magnetic, and is a great feature that is very quick and easy to use to prevent getting beat up by the unused length of the helmet strap when at speed. I wish more helmets had this magnetic system. The graphics are unique and very high quality in a flat finish for the Flying Tiger scheme. Top this off with Snell safety rating and it's really hard to find as good a value in a helmet anywhere near this price point anywhere. The shield system works great too. It's amazingly easy and fast to change shields without tools. And the availability of an optional photochromic shield that lightens in dark and darkens in sun is just awesome. The Bell Vortex is an awesome helmet value.
