I bought two pairs so I'd always have a clean set. They fit just right and are plenty long enough to keep my boots from chaffing on my calves. Since they are called summer socks, I thought they would be thin like dress socks but they aren't. The part that says alpinestars is kinda beige colored and that part is thin like dress socks (on the sides of the feet, front of the ankles, and back of the calf). The black and white sections of the socks are more like sport socks - thicker with soft loops inside. The top black cuffs are elasticized. They stay up, they don't bunch anywhere, and they fit comfortably. After a couple months, there is a little bit of pilling and some cosmetic wear from the velcro on the boots, but that doesn't affect the function of the socks so it doesn't bother me.
