Product Description

  • Alpinestars designed the Supertech R boots to give the worlds fastest motorcycle racers a boot they could trust in, by means of protection and comfort.
  • To keep weight at a minimum Alpinestars constructed the Supertech R boots out of hi-tech micro-fiber.
  • High speed racing requires high quality protection. Alpinestars engineered aerodynamically sufficient protection starting with a wrap around shin guard that features air vents.
  • Alpinestars continues the protection to the heal of the Supertech R boots that covers the entire heal for ultimate impact absorption. The heal guard also gets treated with a vent and an integrated slide insert.
  • The outside toe of the Supertech R gets an exchangeable clip-on toe-slider to skim the ground on a low lean.
  • On top of the toe box of the Supertech R boots is a special lightweight toe shifter pad that transmits shifter feel without binding.
  • A lightweight sole creates a rigid platform that allows the rider to flex the Supertech R boots when changing position on the motorcycle.
  • The micro adjustable ratchet top closure makes for a customizable fit for your foot and leg size.
  • Alpinestars built in great flex on the front of the Supertech R boots, by using soft TPU mesh that is abrasion resistant.
  • A flat full length panel makes up the inner side of the Supertech R boots to provide the best possible feel from your motorcycle.
  • The Achilles flex area on the back of the boots allows for natural movement when tearing up the track.
  • Keeping a tight and comfortable seal comes from the high-grade synthetic that contours your leg and remains in place with the over-injected TPU on the inner side.
  • Slip your foot into the Alpinestars Supertech R boots easily with the full length side zipper that is attached to a stretch bellow panel. The inside is secured with Velcro® brand hook-and-loop panels.

Good for the track
Great Boots Very Comfortable and look great. I coached 2 seasons of track days in them and finally wore a hole through the sole at the ball of my feet! Astar has replaced soles for me before so no biggie! Zippers can be fragile if the boot is tight so be sure to get your size right! Gonna buy a second pair while my back-ups r being fixed

Such a shame.
The boots look great, i've always liked how the alpinestars look ! Yet once i got them on i saw the first flaw. The zippers are on the out side of the boots. Maybe its just me but it seemed very awkward to zip up these boots. Then there was the big problem of my calves. I have big calves, i always have and buying race boots has always been a real chore. These boots do not fit at all, if you have muscular calves then you might want to look somewhere else or you'll have to get the strap on the outside extended some how. On the plus side they do fit well in the feet. I read that the alpinestars fit well with wide feet and they do. They are very comfortable too. Its a real shame i cant use these boots.

these boots are an upgrade from last years model and alpinestars has out done themselves once again. well worth the money.

How do these compare to Puma boots?
I have tried on supertech boots and Puma boots and the supertech did not fit my calves comfortably especially if I would have ben wearing a suit or pants. I have heard that the supertech R's are completely re-designed so I am curious if they would fit or not. Any comments?

Although the boots have been redesigned they probably wouldn't have made a significant change in the overall volume. If they felt close to a good fit before then I would recommend giving them a try again.
