Using the exact same materials and forging process as used in major world championship racing, Marchesini have designed a street specific wheel. Reducing weight when compared to other aftermarket wheels, this exceptional product will enable any rider to understand the value of lowered un-sprung weight and reduced gyroscopic effect as experienced by the world's top riders.

The result is a wheel that weighs 45% less than the original set and possesses a 30% inertia reduction. These characteristics provide faster acceleration, improved handling on bends, and improved control due to improved gyroscopic effect. A mounted set of magnesium wheels weighs about 7.5 kilograms (16.53 pounds) and is completely interchangeable with the original set, except for the sprocket which needs to be replaced with a model that complies with the Marchesini standard (available from most sprocket manufacturers). The magnesium wheel size available is 17 inches for road use and 16.5 inches for track use.
