Product Description

Vortex Sprocket:

  • With the Vortex® sprocket and chain kit you can expect race quality and killer street looks.
  • The Vortex® black aluminum rear sprocket will not only make your motorcycle look faster, it will increase your motorcycle's acceleration by reducing the rotating mass. In addition to quicker acceleration, reduced rotating mass also translates into quicker braking and better handling.
  • Vortex® makes their front sprockets out of high quality stainless steel that has been drilled to save weight.
  • The Vortex® rear sprocket has been anodized black for a durable finish and non-stock look. Constructed of the highest quality 7075 T6 aluminum maximizes durability and weight savings.
  • Vortex® uses a CNC machining process to ensure the tightest tolerances and reduced chain drag.
  • Match these Vortex® sprockets up with a RK or DID chain for the ultimate combo on your motorcycle.

RK Chain:

  • All RK Sealed O-ring type chains feature heat treated hi-carbon alloy steel components with seamless rollers and shouldered bushings, and are fitted with a variety of O-ring seal designs.
  • All RK O-ring seals are made from an advanced Nitrile Butadiene composite for maximum performance and wearlife.

D.I.D Chain:

  • D.I.D's Patented X-Ring construction reduces friction by twisting between the side plates instead of being squashed. Normal O-Rings and other makers' modified O-Rings have squashed points that increase friction. The twisting action of the X-Ring disperses the pressure and minimizes power loss.
  • The X-Ring's four contact points greatly increase its sealing performance. This keeps the dirt out and the lubrication in much better than any other O-Ring. X-Rings have the greatest wear resistance of any other type of O-Ring or Non-O-Ring chain.

Awesome setup!
This kit looks awesome, was easy to install and feels much better then the stock chain I had on my bike. I have a 08 cbr1000rr and I've never replaced sprockets/chain before. But it was a breeze. The front sprocket was hard to get off, but once I got a bigger breaker bar it came off with ease.

I have already written about DID chain. This is on the "Vortex Sprockets". Sprockets are very well made. I have used Sunstar and JT. Vortex is the best quality. No manufacturing flaws that I can see. Unlike the two other companies I've used. Awesome looking. Black coating on rear sprocket seems to be holding up, so far. 1,200 miles and still looks like new. To soon to comment on longevity. The price to quality is great.

Best Value for the money.
I purchased this kit after many months of reading reviews, asking questions and checking prices. By far the best value for the money. MotoSport did a great job offering this kit, especially at this price. Install was a breeze, It looks great, and shipping was incredibly fast. Ordered it on a Thursday and by Saturday it was sitting at my front door. The only thing I would recommend is that if you purchase this kit, also purchase a chain breaker/riveter kit. It will make the job so much easier. Thank you MotoSport. You guys are great. Customer service was better than anything Ive ever experienced. The kit does include a rivet link even though its not listed as such. My 2003 Yamaha FZ1000R is much happier now. :)

This kit would work great on your 2006 Hayabusa. Most of the sport bike kits will have an application for the Hayabusa because of its popularity. The Vortex kits are very good quality so this would not be a bad choice. Just make sure to profile your bike correctly so that you receive the correct sprockets specific to your bike.

Can you get the same deal with 150 links on the chain, or do you just get the standard 114-115?

The price will vary when a different length chain is selected. We do still offer a combo discount though. Then longest chain we stock is 140 links.

This kit comes with a 120 link chain. Check the options list when you order for more links than that.

You can order the kit with the black PTFE hard coat. I did and it is wonderful. Lasts a lot longer and is much quieter.
