Is this all I need to lower the bike? How thick is it the stock link looks pretty thin?

You would not need any additional hardware to lower your bike. You would simply replace the stock links with these links set at the height you would like your bike. These would be the same thickness as your stock links and are made of 6061 T6 Aluminum for added durability and safety. Lowering a FZ6?
My son has an FZ6 and wants to move up. I would like to take over his bike but I am only 5'2" and am on my toes when I ride it. Can it be lowered and by how much?

Unfortunately, this kit is not made to work with your 2005 Yamaha FZ6. I don't show that there is a lowering link kit available from any manufacture for that bike.
