I was completely satisfied with the fit feel this product gave to my bike. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Well worth it, but be advised.
I recently had these links installed on my 2007 Suzuki GSXR 600. I am 5'5" tall. I had no complaints on how the bike handled prior to this purchase, however I was having to one foot it at stops or use both feet with my tip toes. Not a big deal, but with a passanger or hills, etc. I had to make sure to keep the bike extra stable with my short legs. ha! After doing some research on lowering links, reading forum responses, talking to other riders and mechanics I desided these would be the best bet. Some people told me to adjust my suspension (sure, but the bike rode a bit sloppy for day to day riding). Some suggested shaving the seat (Sure, but the seat is already slim and plus no telling what that may do to my beautiful gel seat). Others simply said deal with it (cuz lowering it may cause handling changes). Someone even suggested thick soles on my riding boots/shoes! (umm....disco?...no thank you!) I had the lowering links installed and it was well worth it. The links I recieved had two adjustment holes, and I went with the minumal adjustment because I did not need the bike lowered that much. After riding with the lowering links, and the bike being lowered about an inch I can obviously reach the ground easier. AWSOME! As for handling changes? Only positive that I can see. The center of gravity of the bike feels a lot more secure and it feels like I have much more control of the bike as I am cornering and also more control of the front end. Plus I have noticed less pressure on my wrists since I am not riding as high. The visual of the one inch lower is not really noticable to the naked eye. WARNING! I was told by a couple mechanics that the installation of these links would be fairly easy. Yes, they would be easy to install AFTER you do a fair amount of disecting of the bike to get to the stock piece to replace. I advise taking a bike to an authorized mechanic to get these installed unless you are prepared to open a can of worms to get the piece on. Plus, I attribute the great handling to my mechanic whom made any proper adjustments to my suspension after the links were on. Also, the links I got did not come with installation instructions, just a picture sticker on the back of the packaging showing which direction the link should be installed. WARNING #2! I had to wait while this part was on backorder for about three weeks, so I would also check and see if this item is in stock or be prepared to wait. Just like every other item on this site. GREAT PURCHASE OVERALL!!

Great Item
I am 5ft 6in tall with a 29in inseam and just bought a 07 Yamaha R1. The bike rides fine, but I just wanted to be able to put both my feet down on the ground and feel secure when I came to a stop. This part did that and the bike still rides great.

Do these links fit an 06 gsxr1000?

No the 2.5 link does not fit the 06. We do offer a link through Vortex that gives you the option to keep stock height, or you can lower it 2in or 4in.

No, not these lowering links specifically. Vortex does make a set of lowering links for an 06 GSXR-1000 and we do stock them for your bike, but in order to guarantee that you get the correct parts I'd recommend just calling in and placing your order over the phone. The lowering links that we stock for your bike run at $54.99.
