A: The floating rotors outer track is separated from the hub carrier, held together by rivets. When the brake track expands and contracts, it can move into and out of that small space. This helps to dissipate heat and reduces heat warp-age. Feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

Q: Supermoto brake??

Hi Can you please let me know if this would work on my 2009 yz250f supermoto? Do you have complete front brake kits you can suggest for supermoto?

A: If your hub is made specifically for your 2009 Yamaha YZ250F you should not have an issue. I would recommend the GYTR Stainless Steel Braided Front Brake Line Kit which you can find here: http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/GYTR-Stainless-Steel-Braided-Front-Brake-Line-Kit

Q: Weight of this brake system?
2 years 7 months ago
I'm building a project rm 125 bike and I'm trying to reduce as much un sprung weight as I can. I'm assuming this kit has the aluminum core center seen in the picture above? I currently have a 280mm ebc rotor mounted on my bike. Could you tell me right how much un sprung weight would be taken off my front wheel switching from the 280mm ebc oversized rotor and adaptor to this moto master flame kit with the aluminum center and adaptor.

A: Moto-Master rotors are going to be aluminum. Here are the weights for the Moto-Master products. They can’t calculate the un-sprung weight since there are some other variables involved. For RM125 Floating 270mm Oversize Adapter Bracket = 96 gram. Oversize 270mm Rotor = 545 gram.
