I had made something like this for another quad so happy when I found this, only problem was re-installing the two hitch bolts this was very difficult to get to them behind the new plate.
Pretty difficult to install but using long socket extension and a small alignment bolt helps
The receiver that i received does not look like any of the pictures that were shown. All the ones shown illustrate multiple attachment points that will secure against movement. The one i received mounts over the existing hitch, and only attaches with the 2 bolts in the cross bar. This means that is the pivot point for any upward or downward force. You can apply excessive torque to it. What i got was the one you see if you look at fuse power sports. I have a 2012 rancher 420 AT
First time I used this with my ground hog max in an already plowed food plot. It bent turning the disc up at about a 30 degree angle. The field was just plowed. Might be good for pulling a wagon around. But not to do work with.
Easy to assemble. It took less than 15 minutes with the help of my 5 year old.
Not a typical 1 person 15 minute job, but doable. Looks great and does the job.
Installed on a 2012 Honda TRX Rubicon with ease. Unit is well made.
I own a 2012 Honda Rincon and the receiver fit great. The welds look like they should hold up for my purposes. I mainly use it for pulling a small utility trailer and an off-road ATV trailer. Installing a receiver on my Rincon has allowed me to use the same ball mount that I use on my truck. I would recommend this receiver to anyone looking to add a ball to their ATV.
This hitch exceeded my expectations. It is well designed and strong. I use it for pulling boats to dragging trees. So far it has held up to everything I can hook to it. I would recommend it to anyone that needs to pull something. I have this installed on a 2009 Can Am Renegade 800. Very well built and welded.
