Moose Bolt-On Kick Stand

Extremely satisfied! Easy to put on and its done its job and then some. I trail ride a KX 250F so I'm in the woods a lot, I use it to keep the bike up and use it to climb on to kick start it. Its essential to me.

Moose Kickstand

This is a well made kickstand that looks better than the type that fold all the way up under the side number plate, but is almost too long, as I had to crank up my preload setting on my rear shock so my bike had enough height to lean into the kickstand.

Not Junk, But Not Perfect Either...

Purchased for an 07' CRF-450R. Installs in about 5-7 minutes. Plated steel mount/bracket & painted steel stand. New fasteners included. Disliked the vertical orientation, with bike on stand. Bike was pretty much was completely vertical, with kickstand down, on a level concrete surface. Fear of bike falling over. Bent bracket to move "the pad" of the kickstand further away from the bike to allow for additional lean of the bike, when on stand. Better, but still not as much lean as using a triangle-rear axle stand. Afraid to bend bracket any more. Suggest manufacturer reduce kickstand "length" by one inch or so to resolve problem. Expected better engineering for $45 more than a Trail Tech unit.

AWSOME/ INDESTRUCTABLE

this kickstand installed smothley and it extremly well built i layed the bike down going 40mph and it ripped the bolt out where the kickstands hooks in and and the kickstand was still perfect and i just screwed another bolt in and it was like new. even after all that abuse it never fell apart

Q: 2006 crf 450r turned super with 17" wheels. I will need to shorten the stand, is the base used for footing welded on or can I remove it cut reinstall?

A: It would likely need to be shortened. The base foot is welded on.

Q: Fit for 2006 yz250f?
I purchased this kickstand however my footpeg mount is fixed. There is only one bolt for the chain roller that meets up with this stand. Is there a hanger or another part required?

A: The 2006, aluminum frame, Yamaha YZ250F has brackets that bolt to the frame to attach the footpegs. These would need to be removed to install the Moose Bolt-On Kick Stand. The 2005, steel frame, YZ250F does not have removable brackets, in which case this Moose Bolt-On Kick Stand would not work. The link below shows the footage bracket. Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853.
