Until now, you had to make a choice: the grip of a softer tire - or the durability of a harder tire. But thanks to Michelin 2CT dual-compound technology, Michelin® Pilot® Road 2 tires offer both grip and durability in one tire. By integrating a soft rubber compound on the tread shoulders with a wear-resistant compound down the middle, Michelin gives you the best of both worlds. The Pilot® Road 2 tire is like two tires in one.

  • Long life, grip and excellent handling.
  • Confidence for everyday riding, even in challenging conditions.
  • Exceptional performance in the rain.
  • The only dual-compound tire in the sport touring segment.
    • A softer rubber compound on the tire shoulders for superb grip while cornering.
    • A harder rubber compound in the center of the tire to maximize tire life.
  • Innovative front and rear tread designs.

Michelin 2CT Two Compound Technology: Michelin 2CT dual-compound technology successfully accomplishes two conflicting ideals: wear resistance in the center of the tread, and grip on the shoulders.

Money Well Spent

This is the 2nd set Pilot Road 2's for my Suzuki GSX650F.To me they're an excellant combination of grip and mileage for my sport touring here in the Appalachains.I average about 11,000 miles on them and I like that they wear evenly without cupping and feathering the shoulder like the OE Bridgestones.
My touring regularly includes Deal's Gap, Hwy 16 to Virginia, and Hwy 181 above Morganton,NC.In other words I enjoy the curves. The Michelins are grippy and very predictable, even in the wet.

Best tire I've ever rode on!!

I have driven over 500,000 miles on motorcycles and found the Michelin Pilot Road 2 to be one of the best tires I' ve ever rode on. The cornering in wet and dry weather grips the road great and the stopping is the best. They really hold the road even when I scrap the pegs on my BMW K1200 GT.

Awesome tire. I'd recomend it to anyone! Try it, you will see what I mean.

Ride safe!

Pilot road2

This is hands down the best tire i have ever run i run the road two on the rear and a standard pilot power on the front of my buell and could not be happier. I do alot of commuting and alot of mountain riding so my tires see a lot of abuse and these are great! I use one set a year and put about 8k on them. They are great in the wet and still give great feedback and grip when you want to get a little crazy in the mountains. Havent put a set on my 675 yet but im sure they will be michelins.

Best Street Tire

I have had this tire on my bike for the last 9432 miles and they have been hard miles. I ride 100 miles round trip to work and back everyday and 70% is on the highway. I hit the cloverleaf on ramps hard too. I have about half a centimeter on each side of the tire. I probably had about another 1500 miles on it but I hit something and it left about a 1in x 2mm gash in the tire, and it was deep. But it still had air and rode it for another 500 miles till I got my new tire!!!! Best Tire EVer!!!!

Pilot road 2

Have a few hundred miles on so far. Feel soooooo much better than the stock Dunlop D220's. Haven't pushed to the edges yet, but tires feel really good the further I keep leaning. Gave a 5 for durability as they do not seem to wear at all, a follow up review on wear should follow.

Road 2

I have two motorcycles both buells i.e torque monsters and I've been going through tires like butter dunlap and michelins. I drive 90 miles a day on the most dangerous highway in the U.S.A, I-15 the Cajun pass. and these tires, the road two are the only ones that have lasted, it's been a year now and there holding up strong. To the highways and when I take my R-1 and GXSR driving buddies to Angelus crest hgwy and the 173 hgwy.

Yes, there is a limited warranty which covers defects in workmanship and materials for the life of the original usable tread, or for 6 years from date of purchase, whichever occurs first.

Will the C version also work for the Triumph Sprint 1050, or is it only for the Tiger?

The "C" version tire was s spec tire for the Sprint 1050. This just designates that it was the spec tire for that model and has some small changes to meet Triumphs spec. For your application it would be recommended to choose either the Unmarked or the "B" tire depending what type of riding you do.
