You don't have to be world champion to get your hands on Michelin racing tire technology. Pilot Power tires use a rubber mix that was originally developed for MotoGP racing, and a tread pattern that covers less than 12% of the tire's surface. The result is a maximum lean angle of 50.6 degrees on dry pavement and 41.9 degrees in the wet, achieved with a stock sportbike.
- Rubber compound reaches operating temperature quickly.
- Incredible cornering grip.
- Impressive durability for a high-performance tire.
- Designed for high-performance sportbikes.
- Suitable for street or track use.
- MotoGP-derived rubber mix.
- Tread pattern covers less than 12% of the tire surface, for phenomenal cornering adhesion.
- Synthetic rubber mix derived from MotoGP tire technology, formulated to maintain consistent performance even at advanced stages of tire wear.
- 50.6 maximum lean angle in the dry, as measured at the Michelin test track.
I have burned through a lot of tires in my time and have yet to find a better tire for the money. When I go in to a corner I have never question my tires grip. Which is one less thing on your mind. Love them would recommend to anyone whom rides aggressive on the weekends and rides to work during the week.
I've always ran Pilot Power and by far there the best for your every day use in stunning, street, track or even hills.. great style looking tire to
for the price, these are amazing, ive had 3 sets now. they don't last a huge amount of miles, but decent mileage at the least. awesome grip, often do track days and they rock out there. also ride highway for commute, and they hold up there too. Wet traction is pretty good, although its not often I ride in rain, when I do get caught out, I don't worry about traction issues. in my opinion, best tire out there for the price, and this model has been around for a while, so that should tell you theyre good.
My favorite tires by far, & I've used all the major brands over the years.
Feel & grip is very good, Styling is great & so to is the price.
Mileage, not as good as I would like, but it's on par with it's competition.
I run these on an SV1000. The profile of these tires makes my bike feel nimble - like it wants to turn harder every time I go around a corner. On average I will get 5000-6000 miles out of a rear tire which is awesome compared to other tires that grip this well.
I always recommend these when someone asks me which tires to choose. Michelin is constantly releasing new tire models, but I think there's a reason that this one has remained unchanged for so long: price + performance = great value!
I've had this tire for about 2 weeks now. Was shipped very fast. After putting this tire on it felt like a new bike. Handles the corners well. Seems to warm up quick to. Defiantly excited to have this tire. I would recommend this tire to anyone. Has a speed rating of 165 mph if i remember right, not that i'll ever go that fast but nice to know i have the option.
This tire is a good choice for the occational track day and frequent street riding. Tire warms up well and performs on public roads well with predictable results.
Great grip and performance. I've been running these tires on my last two V-twin liter bikes for about 5 years. The grip and feed back on the road is great. Tire life is a little short for my liking but I drive pretty aggresively so I'll take grip over long tire life any day.
These are great tires at a great price. Fast shipping. Motosport did a great job of cancelling a previous order and upgrading me to this awesome tire. Got it just in time to head to the Tail of the Dragon. Thanks Motosport for making my weekend great.
If your looking for a good all around street track tire this tire will do you no harm. It has great cornering performance mixed with fantastic water channeling to provide the perfect all around street/track tire.
Tires were delivered quickly and efficient. The quality of the tires are great. Sticky and durable. They wear out about the normal rate for just street use. I would recommend these tires to anyone. great price and great service from motosport.com
These are my second set of Pilot Powers and I absolutely love them. Like everyone else seems to say about these tires, they have great traction and get sticky very quickly. The life on the tires are pretty good and lasts a good while depending on the way you ride and might I say, I like to push my 03 ZX636R hard. The best part of the whole deal is the combo price. Just over $200 is a steal on these tires especially with free 3 day shipping. I would definitely recommend these tires to anyone who wants an affordable set of tires for cheap!
I have these on my wife's Suzuki SV 650. This is the 2nd set I have purchased. Quick warm up and excellent grip. They give a smooth ride and have a very neutral turn in. MotoSport.com has a great price on the set with very fast free delivery. I would recommend these to a friend.
These are great tires lots of grip and a low warmup time. I bought this as part of a combo and was able to purchase both a front and back for the price of just the back at my local mega store. Shipping was fast and free, will definitely get these from here again.
Pilot Powers ae great for the mountains and street riding.Heat up fairly quick and grip great in the curves.I would not recomend these for the track.Did a day at Talladega and saw they were not the best but did do allright. All in all I will continue to buy these tires for my GSXR and run them on the twisty roads in north Georgia. For the price you can't beat them.Definate buy!
Very sticky on take off and while leaning. I had the stock tires on my K9 GSXR 750 for about 2 years and I was tired of not having any traction. These tires are amazing! The bike rides so much better.
this tire grips pretty well and overall rides nice but doesnt last at all! this is the first time i tried this tire and will never use it again... it only lasted me barely 2 months and now i cant ride cause im showing threads 3/4" wide and 6 inches long.
again have to be the best tire I have ever rode on an of the track!
sticks really well. got deployed for a year and the bike sat in the elements for a year. Came back tire held up. no problems
