I bought a whole set front and rear, the fronts are in good shape, but the rears are just a terrible tire as far as sidewall durability, Both of my rears have multiple side wall cuts which Ive had to plug. Ive only had them a year and called Maxxis, they don't want anything to do with helping me out so in return Ill never buy their product again and neither will any of the guys I ride with, worst $400 bucks I ever spent.
Great tire. The spread of tread helps the mud not cake on
I've had Razr II's, Holeshot HDs, these XC are by far the best, hook up great on the trails!!
Just ran a mud race with them and they were perfect.
I think they are better than the 2's. Sidewall not as thick though.
I usually run RAZR 6ply rear tires the groove them after a few races so I figured I would give these a try. They have great forward traction and slide predictably but have weak sidewalls. Both times I have run them I have ended up with sidewall tears in only two races. Could have happened with other tires but I usually get at least 4-6 races with the 6ply RAZR rears if not more.
