Awesome Tires the Bighorn 2.0

These tires are 100% better than my original ones I had on there. They are so much better in the sand which is where I usually ride. They have a stronger sidewall and much better traction/grip too. Having the stronger sidewall lets me use less air pressure in tire to get a larger foot print and have more traction.

Great Tires!!!

Had to take these tires to a "tire shop" to get them installed. Afterwords, the ride is very smooth and the grip is great. Had dunlop tires which really are lame from factory. These Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires are worth the bucks. Made my 2008 Honda Foreman 500 a much better ride than when I purchased it new. Also the weight of these tires are light weight (same as the stock tires on my atv) but have serious tread that should last a long time. I was going to purchase the Maxxis Longhorn (not 2.0) but was worried the those tires may "overwork" my 4x4 suspension and wear it out faster. These 2.0 are great for ATV's. If I had a UTV, I would purchase the non 2.0's instead. You can't go wrong with these tires.

Will the 26 x 11 x 12 tire fit on a rim that has a 27 x 12 x 12 on it?
I just bought a set of vampires that I do not like but have a new set of rims that I would like to use. Front tire size works 26 x 9 x 12 but the exact tire in rear are different was hoping it would still work. Save some money on another set of rims

Yes. The last number in the tire number 26x11-(12) is the rim diameter. As long as you match that 12" diameter it will fit. Feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

Are these tires good for snow removal?

Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 Tire will work for snow. It may not be the best tread pattern. Something like the ITP MudLite XTR would have a taller and more aggressive lug. But you still may need chains for any tire you use with snow removal for best results.

How will these tires preform on gravel & pavement during cornering?

These are an off road specific tire and not designed for use on pavement. The performance on pavement will suffer due to the large tread void with tall knobs and low contact patch. The performance on gravel will vary depending what you are comparing it to, but will be just fine to use on gravel. Some riders complain under hard cornering the sidewall tends to flex a lot and they get and they get a feeling of the tire rolling. This would also depend on how much pressure you are running. For all intents and purposes this is a very popular tire because it really works pretty good everywhere. About the only place it has downfalls will be on pavement which is not designed to be used on, and in the deep sticky mud as is does not have the deepest lugs or best cleaning ability.

Want the 2.0 bighorns but my factory tires are 26x10x14 rear and26x8x14 front and your tires are saying 25 how do I order the same size tire?
MotoSport Staff

We do offer the Bighorn 2.0 in the sizing you are looking for. Maxxis does increase the width of each tire by 1 inch though. The fronts would be 26x9x14 and the rears are 26x11x14. This will cause no clearance issues and will fit your stock wheels without issue also. The increase in width will offer better traction and also increased tire life.

The Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 has been slightly redesigned to be lighter weight and have a slimmer profile. The tread design has stayed the same, and has a 6-ply casing.

The 2.0 is a lighter tire than the non-2.0. Same tread pattern, just lighter.
