Great purchase

I have no complaints about the m4 gp. Just wish the baffle would come out easier or a baffle removal tool was included. Changed from two brothers because it was stupidly loud and annoying.

Replaced TaylorMade with M4

I replaced my TaylorMade exhaust with a M4. Call me crazy but I didn't like the low base tone of the Taylor on my 2016 Honda CBR1000RR SP Repsol edition. M4 has the particular sound I am looking for in a race bike. Will not break the bank account. I had a Yoshimura on my last bike but went with M4 this time because it has an ever so slight edge in decibel. M4's are simply the loudest pipes out there guaranteed to make heads turn in jealousy and chuckle off those neighbors you can't stand.

Love it

I purchased this M4 for my 2016 GSX-R750 and it not only looks better, but sounds great! It has a perfect growl and lower tone than some slip on's. I kept the baffle in mine and it was plenty loud, but you can also remove that very easy if super loud is your thing. I had one of these on my 09' GSX-R750 too, so obviously happy with M4 and Motosport.com

That "Just Right" Sound

These were very easy to install, and the look and sound were just what I was hoping for. I do not regret one bit buying these, because they make the riding experience a lot more enjoyable. Some other reviews had me worried a bit that they might be too loud, but that is not the case.

Sounds great

Installed on '13 gsx-r 600. Did a cat delete as well. Sounds amazing. Better than I anticipated. I always ran yoshi pipes but this one is a winner.

Good set for fair money

I got these essentially because they were the cheapest i could find for my bike. I also did not want stupid loud pipes. The sound is good, nice deep sound and i can now hear my exhaust but it is not too loud. They look great. Though they dirty easily being black. The installation was the worst part of these pipis. While it is super easy to install. Took me maybe 20 minutes and i have cables i had to disconnect, the right side went on line a breeze. The left side the bracket is not positioned correctly, so in order to get it on without leaking i had to put the gasket inside the pipe them i can only slide the muffler into the pipe half way so i can clamp the pipe without it leaking and mount it to the rear mount. It was quite annoying, when i first put it on it leaked. I have a 15 z1000, maybe mine was a fluke but there was no way to fix this unless i cut off the bracket and rewelded it in the right spot, but i wasn't about to do that on $400 pipes. Other than that they are great

Great slip on for the price

Received my M4 a day earlier then I expected. Installation was pretty easy only thing was i had to use a rubber mallet to kind of hit it on to the cat since it was a tight fit. Would have been easier if the end that slipped onto the cat would have been a hair bigger. The sounds is amazing. I love the low tone. What made it even better was taking the snap ring out and taking out the baffle aka doing the DB killer. Now it is louder and sounds better. Overall I would recommend this for sure. Make my 2013 Sfv650 gladius turn heads.

Awesome slip on!

Couldn't be happier with this purchase. The installation took less than 10 minutes. The sounds is mean and deeper. I left the baffle in, and it's still plenty loud for me, and I hear as it gets worn in, it only gets louder and louder. The exhaust opens up the rear wheel and looks so clean. I would buy again with no hesitation. I feel no power difference (I did not install a power commander or tune anything differently) but sounds and looks 100x better.

For the price of this slip on its sounds and looks better than most exhaust. I took the baffle out and it makes it sound so much better and little louder. Remember "if they don't see you make sure they can hear you"

M4 GP Series Slip-On Exhaust 2016 GSXR750

Excellent product, I had an M4 shorty exhaust on my 2007 GSXR600
for 5 years and not one problem. Bought my new bike 3 months ago and did a lot of research on slipons for my 2016 GSXR750 and kept coming back to M4. Ordered my exhaust and received it in 3 days, install was a breeze. Love the look and sound. Very happy with Motosport.com and this product.

Love the m4

love the m4 great sound and is pretty loud to make every 1 around you look and be aware. the only bad thing was trying to take the baffle off it was pretty hard if you don't have the right tools and it's easy scratch if your not careful enough

Great look , great sound!

I have an 07 Yamaha R6 no cat, I've been looking for a loud and deep exhaust well this was the perfect one! If you want an exhaust were cars can hear but won't wake up the neighbors this exhaust is perfect for you. Looks very clean and installation is as easy as tightening two bolts!

Very satisfied

Bought this for a 2011 gsxr 600. It manages to give you a great sound without being too loud. Instalation took less than 20 minutes. Looks awesome with the stock heat shield. To take the dB killer out you will need a pair of strong snap ring pliers, adjustable ones probably cut it. Gives a great amount of braaaap for little money.

Great little pipe

I'm highly satisfied with this pipe. It gave the bike a clean look by getting rid of the huge stock exhaust as well as a sound that I can only describe as a growl. Installation was fairly straightforward. However, removing the prechamber without removing the rear wheel was a bit tricky, but doable. Additionally, the top nut of the bracket was a tight squeeze to get to on my bike, but just be patient and you'll get it.

Also, sound clips of the exhaust does not do it justice. This thing is loud. It came with a Stage 1 baffle, which was deafening for me. So, I purchased a Stage 2 baffle directly from M4 (fantastic customer service). After installation, I now have the exact sound I was looking for (i.e., only loud when I want it to be).

Ninja 1000 M4 GP exhaust

They sound phenomenal. Significantly louder, no video can justify the actual in person experience. Much deeper sound, when crusing, all you hear is exhaust, no more engine sound is heard. I did feel some slight low rpm power loss, i stalled the engine on the first ride. Mpg seemed to have benefited. Very simple install. What took the longest is taking off the stock exhaust gasket which you'll have to reuse. I broke one, so I had to reorder one. 30$ for oem gasket.

Is engine tuning required after installation on a 2009 Suzuki SFV650 Gladius?
MotoSportExpert
Expert MotoSport Staff
1 year 2 months ago
A: Normally when installing a slip-on only minor jetting changes are needed, if any at all. If your bike is currently jetted properly you will likely not have to make any changes after installing this slip-on. I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the bike to see how it is running then tuning your carburetor from there if necessary.
