I'll start by saying that for the price, this is a great product. The LEDs are nice and bright, and it is a huge improvement aesthetically over my stock turn signals.
The rest of the review is bike specific. For reference, I ride a 2015 Triumph Daytona 675R. First things first, even though the description says the signals are universal, the holes in the fairings of the Daytona were not large enough for the bolt attached to the turn signal. I had to bore out a bigger hole in order to fit the bolt in. Easy to do, but it increases the complexity of the install slightly. The second issue arose when trying to connect the signal to the harness. The leads from the turn signal don't clip into the Daytona's harness like the stock signals do, so I had to splice the ends of the stock signals onto the new signals. Again, not very difficult to do, but reduces the "plug-n-play" factor. The last issue I had was with the rectifier, which sits inside the left fairing of the Daytona. The rectifier is held in place by two bolts at the top of the fairing and the bolt from the stock turn signal on the side of the fairing. With these signals, you will NOT be able to fasten the rectifier to the side of the fairing. Because it's so jammed in there anyway, this shouldn't be an issue. The back plate for the turn signal bolt is also too thick for the rectifier to sit flush against the side of the fairing, so you'll need to head to a hardware store and purchase a new thin nut to fasten the signal to the fairing.
Once everything is on, though, they look great and function beautifully. They do sit nice and flush with the fairings. The Daytona must have some sort of relay built in because I didn't install the Phillips relay, and they flash at the same rate as the stock ones. Overall very satisfied with these signals, and for $25, you won't find a better option.
No problem with the installation. In fact installation took me around 1 hour. The product fit well on the body of my bike. No fabrication work was needed. I did use a little weather seal around the lights to keep the moisture out.
These signals look nice, though it took some work to mount them on my triumph speed triple. They don't fit exactly to the contours of the stock signal, but the rubber ring does a pretty good job of helping them blend in.
this is the second of these turn signals ive had to buy because the plastic mounting stalk busts off. dont buy it
The bike was dumped once and knocked over once while parked, both times, the front signal was the first thing to break. I was able to fit these for a decent look by cutting the stems off the base plate, and simple screwing these onto the existing base plate.
Cons: They do extend over the bottom edge of the base plate a bit, and I'll need to get an electronic blinker because these LED's have the fast-blinking issue with the old blinker.
Still, I'm happy with them. They're highly visible, just as bright as the originals, much less prone to breakage, and a lot sleeker looking. With the included plastic collar, they snug up to the base plate fairly well.
Now to move the rear blinkers to inside the rear light cage.
lights do not fit a 2009 Kawasaki ninja ex500r
On the 2001 SV650s the threaded portion is too short you will have to remove the plastic rubber around the lights and shift them towards the front to make them fit (this is the only way to be able to screw them from the back) You will be able to see a portion of the hole. Other wise the lights look great and blink faster than the stock lights.
When I saw these and ordered them, I thought the price was killer. When I received them, however, I figured I got exactly what I paid for as the quality seems just so-so.
The real frustrating thing was when I installed them and found that the wires were just an inch too short. Are these guys afraid they're going to give some wire away? Come on!
I was very pleased with how they look on my bike. I have a 2000 VTR 1000 - Superhawk. It's definitely an upgrade to the look.
I had to modify the body part to fit the signals on. The lights looked great once I had them mounted... awesome replacement parts.
I tried installing these on my '07 ZZR600.... no way these were fitting unless I bought blinker block off plates and drilled new holes in my fairing..
The hardest part of mounting these was getting the courage up to cut my old wires.
Simple mount, quick job.
I actually got a compliment about them almost right after I put them on.
"Didn't your blinkers stick out last time I saw you?"
Not COMPLETELY flush on the 2007 Ninja 250, but still a lot better looking than the lights on the end of a stick.
Maybe I just read the product review wrong but I was expecting this to not only work as a turn signal but also running lights. In addition, the description never said anything about having to drill holes in the fairings to mount.
these lights are super bright and give my bike a real smooth look. I installed these on my 08 R6s, I had to shave some plastic on the back side to allow the mounting bolt to fit. (too short) The lights mount completely flush and match the contour of the bike perfectly. Must have and cheap too
I finally replaced those old stock turn signals on my 98' Honda CBR F3. These lights are nice and really bright. They're not the flushest fit on all sides, but the small gaps aren't noticeable unless you get real close. Instillation was somewhat simple and correct wiring can be figured out through trial and error. They are good lights for the price, making it a cheap alternative if you want to improve the image of your bike. Hope this helps
I put these lights on a 07 GS500f and they look great, didn't have to do any mods to the plastics they covered up the holes perfect. They work good day or night.
