My son has been riding dirt bikes since he was 5 yr old, he is now 11 and wanted to try racing motocross, after doing some research for a good neck brace, I found the Leatt fusion 2.0. The fit is awesome, my son told me he doesn't even feel it on him when he is riding. Plus it is nice piece of mind for worry some moms and dads. It is a little expensive, but you cannot put a price on your kids safety.
I bought one of these for each of my two sons and they love them. I love them because I like spending money on safety! It's great fun to ride bikes and a real bummer to get hurt. I know I've done the very best I can to protect my boys.
They have been wearing them for months and mistreating them as expected. They hold up. The boys wear them every single time they get on the bike and they really don't mind.
The older boy was right on the edge between the medium and large size and the large fit much better.
Bought this for my 8yr old son and I couldn't be more happier with buying this. I have peace of mind finally knowing he is safe and protected should he crash hard. Best chest protect/neckbace on the market. If you have a child that races in the 50/65 classes please buy this for your child. He/She will be very protected and safe. Well worth the buy.
Bought this vest for my 9 year old son. It has kept him safe through a few impacts. One in which he took a ride down the pavement. All parts that were covered by the vest were injury free - major road rash on places that were not covered. This is one tough vest! My son loves it and doesn't ride without it. He says it is comfortable (which is a major compliment coming from someone who is so picky about comfort). Plan on buying the next size up when he grows out of this one. Awesome product and well worth the price.
The Leatt Fusion 2.0 Vest is the best purchase I have done yet. Unlike Boots and all the other riding gear that you replace all the time because they grow out of it, this will be there for the long haul. Great peace of mind, fits great, looks great, not restricted in his normal riding movement.. We thought that it was too restricted at first, till we realized that his visor on the helmet was set too low so he couldn't look up far enough, adjusted the visor up were it should have been and boom, perfect.
Only little flaw I see with it was I think they should have used a little thicker padding on top of the shoulders, he was sore after the first couple times using it but has hardened up since then and not having any issues anymore.
Purchased this neckbrace jacket for my 7 year daughter. Her body cavity front to back is small so the arc in other neck devices were not narrow enough and would rock on her shoulders. Through some trial and error, we landed with the Leatt Fusion 2 vest which provides protection of vital organs and also has a neck brace built into it. Mobility is vest is fantastic and Leatt protection equipment of any type is far ans away the best in the business of rider protection. Confidence on the bike too is boosted when she is riding her 50cc. Worth every penny.
bought this for my 6 year old racer. It fits perfect. Is very breathable unlike other protective vest. It moves with the racer and stays in position. The neck brace doesn't bother him at all and took no break in period to get use to. The 3DF foam has already successfully absorbed several impacts on the racetrack and held up well and most importantly my son was well protected and sustained no injuries. I would highly recommend this product from Leatt for your child. It is cheap insurance for your most precious asset and is well designed and extremely protective.
This vest is designed very well. Offers side protection for the rib cage. Fits well, so you wont have to listen to your kids complain about wearing a neck brace. This thing is expensive but priceless. Safety first!
Once you look over and feel the Leatt Youth vest you know it is well thought out and put together with quality material. The shoulder pads are firm but plyable -- usually the first thing to go on a chest protector, not so with this vest. Plenty of ventilation and full wrap around protection completely covering the upper torso. Neck brace is quality as one expects from Leatt.
We were in a jam between outgrowing a smaller neck brace and motovest and having to buy two new pieces of gear hoping they fit well together. Bingo -- quality product that is fully adjustable to accomodate a growing 10 year old that integrates solid neck and torso protection. Bonus -- Son loves it and says it does not hinder head and arm movements at all.
Only thing I wish was different is that they make a pink/purple one for girls. Other than that she says she cant even tell its there.
