I love the Sand Gecko

This is my 3rd time buying this paddle tire for a quad over the years. They have always performed flawlessly. They get great traction and slide nicely in the turns.

Big heavy tire

these tires work great for a big heavy quad. I got a set practically brand new for 50 bucks and was really surprised how much heavier they are compared to say scat track extremes. These are great for rockier or more adverse conditions. The paddles are thick and with the intermitent paddle dont have a lot of TROT to them like a straight paddle. At most they are really tough. not great for drag racing but aired down enough you will get out of any hole you get yourself into.

Best Deal around

I shopped around, and this was by far the best deal. Killer tires, better rims, and free mounting and shipping. No doubt we will be shopping here again.

Real aggressive

The tires really throw sand and if you don't have a good quad your just gonna dig holes. We have them on a ds90 got stuck less with stock tires with all the air out.

Good tires

Have had these tires for many of years. They are excellent if you have a 400CC or less quad. I have friends that are on their 10th trip to the dunes on these and are still looking great. If you got a banshee, 450, or raptor, I wouldn't get these, but for lower powered machines they are great. I am faster with these than a set of more aggressive paddles. Installed on a LTZ400.

Yamaha Blaster 2006?
Will the 21-11-8 fit for a stock 2006 yamaha blaster?

I wouldn't recommend these tires for anything less than a full size quad. They are a very heavy tire. For something like this a scat trak or sand skate would be a better option for less unsprung weight. And easier for the smaller motor to get it turning.

21-11-8 is pretty big for a blaster. better to go with the same size as the stock trail tires.

Is it $50.99 for one tire or both? And do they come with rims? I'm on a budget and I'm looking for a good paddle tire at a good price. Thank you!?

These are sold individually and do not include wheels. The best bet for wheels would be to go with ITP T-9 Pro's. The wheels are also sold individually. Make sure you profile your unit when selecting wheels so you receive the wheel with the correct bolt pattern and offset. The correct size wheel for this tire would the 8x8.5 if you go with the ITP T-9 Pro wheel. If you use our wheel and tire builder we will mount the tires for you and it saves you some additional money also.

You can run a 9x8 rim with a 4/115 bolt pattern to match up to this size of tire. When searching for rims, just select your ride and all the correct size options will show.

Snow?
do they get good traction in hard packed and wet snow?

No, I wouldn't recommend a paddle tire for anything but sand. a standard knobby tire will work fine in the snow.

Does the tire package come with 1 tire or 2 ?

These tires are sold individually. we do sell wheel/tire packages, that include 2 tires, 2 rims mounted. but the product link for this question is just the tires only. here's the link to our wheel/tire combo deals. http://www.motosport.com/atv/offroad/tireandwheelkits.php?cat0=ATV

Would it be better to go bigger or smaller?
last time i was out at the dunes i was running 21 inch tires and did'nt have any power in 5th gear. should i be running the stock 18 inch tire? w/ paddles

Going from stock 18's to 21's is a big change especially in the sand, if you like the tires try re-gearing it first, going down 1 in the front could help a little and its fairly inexpensive. if not see if a friend has some other sizes to try before you buy.

Bigger tires will reduce the power of the quad. I use the same size as the stock trail tires.

Are they mounted?
Do they come with valve stems, and mounted on rim. Ive purchased from others and ran into these simple problems.

If you'd like these tires to come mounted up on rims and ready to be thrown on your bike, then you will have to purchase and specify a wheel and tire combo when ordering online. What you are looking at here are just the Kenda Sand Gecko tires themselves. So if you'd like to make sure that you are getting the correct tire/wheel packages, then I'd recommend giving us a call so that we can better help you out over the phone!
