Perfect size!

This holds all of the essentials and has a fairly low profile. It stays secure at highway speeds and the option to put on the straps and wear it comes in handy if you want to leave your bike somewhere unattended. This is probably one of my favorite purchases this year!

Ideal Tank Bag for Sport Bikes

In 2007 when I was planning a 3000 mile trip into Canada on my Monster I spent a lot of time looking for a good tank bag. I ended up choosing the Icon Primer. 5 years later and 20K+ miles in all kinds of weather and I needed to replace it. What better than another Primer bag? This bag is ideal for sport bikes as it is small enough not to interfere with your riding but large enough to hold a wallet, drink, travel journal, map, snacks, camera, 1st aid kit, phone, passport ... pretty much everything you could need to have easily available. The back pack straps are nice because it allows you to take your stuff with you hands free if you decide to hike or if you need to carry your tent, saddle bags, sleeping bag, etc. I ride year round in Oregon so this bag has been exposed to hot days, sun, rain, snow, cold, and some days several conditions. It works great to carry a lunch and drink to work or for making trips to the store for smaller purchases. 5 years later the product has changed some. The straps are a little less durable but still quite capable of performing well, and some of the text that was printed on the bag previously is gone. Looking forward to another 5 years of riding with my new bag. The only drawback i found with this purchase is the bag came without magnets - a packaging oversight I'm sure. Luckily I had the ones from my old one that I inserted in the magnet pockets and I'm good to go.

This tank bag is great. I've been using it for a season and it is holding up strong. I've read other reviews on this product that said it scratched the gas tank, but I haven't had any issues with that. Plus it??s not gigantic so it doesn??t get in the way when you are riding. The only thing I wish it had was a see through pocket on the top.

This particular bag does not have a rain cover and while it is water resistant, it is not waterproof.

I don't see any exact dimensions but it is fairly small. Perfect room for a wallet , cell phone and I pod. Maybe an extra pair of gloves but not much more. It does have an external compression strap.

The dimensions are listed on the Icon website, but I cannot remember them off hand. If you just need something for essentials like wallet, sunglasses in a case, kickstand puck, hat and a few other things then get this. If you need something to put clothing for a long trip then this is too small. No clips or velcro, just heavy duty magnets. They stay secure on the highway too so don't worry. This was my best purchase this year.
