Setting the standard for power and value, the HMF Performance Series has been track tested with over a decade of championships. The specially designed, unrestricted core provides maximum flow and allows the exhaust to increase horse power and torque evenly throughout the entire power curve. The trademark to the HMF Performance Series is the exhaust's sound. With a deep, aggressive sound, you'll typically see a 2 - 10 dB increase from the stock exhaust system.

  • Powersports slip-on.

  • T-6061 aerospace-grade aluminum canisters.
  • TIG welded aluminum brackets.
  • Heavy-duty stainless steel rivets.

  • Packed with Bristol Core brand pillow packing.
  • Hardware included.
  • Sold as a kit.
  • Includes installation instructions.
  • Two-year manufacturer's warranty.

2 - 10 dB Increase: Depending on the model, you can expect a 2 - 10 dB increase over stock.

Unrestricted Core: The Performance Series uses a 2-1/8" non-restrictive core for maximum flow.

Less Weight: The exhaust shell is made of T6061 Aluminum that weighs substantially less than stock.

Hmf Exhaust on a 2013 400x

Great sound! Point blank it has the loud that you are looking for. It will stir up dust 15 ft behind you, I rate this with top exhausts, I have a full yoshimura exhaust on my 660 raptor and it does not sound as deep as this hmf puts out, plus you can buy a quit core that brings it down but it can't keep that pipe quit.. Lol great buy, didn't have to rejet on the 400x.

Great purchase

Ordered this pipe for my wife's 2006 trx450er with the power core insert and it performed killer. We got Sound tested by the U.S. Forest Rangers last week at Coos Bay bay. the pipe with the power core insert registered 85db and the limit was 93db at the time. the quad performed really well with this set up after being jetted with the dyno jet kit. it gave real strong performance over stock."

great looking pipe, easy to install but the bolts that they send with the pipe are too short so keep your factory ones for an easier install. Sounds awesome loud deep growl, seems to help with throttle response a little. But overall great pipe and well worth the money.

Best pipe money can buy

I love this pipe, put it on in 10 minutes and sounds great. Realy deep and loud and gives you a boost you can feel. Ive had it for one day and already got stopped from complaints about noise. You dont have to jet your carb. with this pipe but good idea to do it anyways

Not without some custom modifications.

So no programming or tuning is necessary with a slip on?
Expert MotoSport Staff

Generally with a slip on exhaust you will not need a programer. I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the bike to see how it is running then tuning your bike from there if necessary.

Is there any way to buy the anodized version of the HMF Performance Series exhaust from motosport?
I'm looking to get the anodized black version of this slip-on. Do you only stock the brushed aluminum?

Does it come with main jet?

No, there are no jets included with the HMF Performance Series Slip-On Exhaust. I would suggest to order a jet kit for your bike or look at the OEM diagrams for a single jet.

I would suggest to look at the HMF website for information on both of those exhaust: http://www.hmfracing.com/series/competition http://www.hmfracing.com/series/performance

The Competition exhaust is going to come the same way for every model. It has a special TRI-MAX core that is only inside of our competition exhaust (it provides the most horsepower and torque gains). It will have a black canister, a special competition blue sticker and 3 competition racing inserts, stages 1-3. By default it will have the stage 3 installed (The stage 3 adds the most horsepower, torque and overall sound level increases). Stage 2 is the middle of the three and will have a good compromise for power and sound. Stage 1 is the quietest and least powerful of the three. For anyone looking to maximize gains on their machine, they should always be running the stage 3 (largest) insert. The Performance exhaust is by default going to come in a brushed aluminum with a turn down brushed tip. It features a straight through core which has good horsepower and torque gains but not quite as much as our competition series TRI-MAX core. It is the only exhaust series that allows for color customization as well as a variety of 3 types of tips to choose from that are completely aesthetic and add no power to the system. Performance adds nice power gains for a lesser price than the competition. Both exhausts are constructed from aluminum, featuring different cores internally.

HMF Performance Exhaust?
Will this only with the end piece? such as in the picture? or it comes with part two of the exhaust as well? Thus, the part that goes on from the end cap and into the engine?

This is for the Slip-on muffler only. Depending on the model of your ATV you can get the HMF Performance Series Complete Exhaust which will include the muffler and head pipe.

Is there a USFS plate/stamp on the product in case of a ranger check point? Will I have any issues with noise pollution without the quite core?
MotoSport Staff Expert Top 1 Contributor

MotoSportGrantK
No the HMF Performance Series Slip-On Exhaust will not have a USFS approved emblem. If you use the quiet core and spark arrestor, you shouldn't have an issue. If you don't use the quiet core, you will not be able to pass any decibel test.

WHAT JET KIT SHOULD I RUN WITH MY SLIP ON EXHAUST?
I PURCHASED A 2000 HONDA TRX4OO WITH A SLIP ON HMF EXHAUST. THE PREVIOUS OWNER SAID THAT SINCE PUTTING ON THE SLIP ON EXHAUST THAT IT HAS IDLED HIGH AND ALSO HAS BACKFIRES WHEN LETTING OFF THE THROTTLE. WOULD THESE PROBLEMS ARISE WITH THE AFTERMARKET SLIP ON, WITH NOTHING ELSE BEING DONE?

You may not have to rejet. Best thing to do is to buy a new spark plug and run it for 15 -20 minutes and let it cool, then check the plug and see if the white piece that's below the electrode has changed. You will know when you see it, take out old and see if it's dark, dark is rich, lean is almost white, you want a sandy light brown, not to light but it should be fine without jets.. Just run it and check your plug..
