Arguably the highest performing after-market exhaust on the market, the HMF Competition Series is a pure blend between optimized performance and versatility. The secret to it's power lies within the Trimax Core. This unique triangular core accepts specially designed exhaust inserts that provide the rider the ability to quickly change the power and sound according to the current riding conditions

  • Designed and tested for dirt bikes and ATVs.
  • The Competition Series distributes power evenly throughout the entire RPM range.
  • The Competition Series uses a mechanical core to control exhaust pulses and set power levels where they're needed.
  • The exhaust shell is made of T6061 Aluminum that weighs substantially less than stock.
  • Included with every exhaust are three removable inserts; the Trimax Core technology features three levels of power and sound, allowing you to dictate the type of power and sound you need, when you need it.
    • Trimax Stage 1: Uses an insert that restricts sound levels extensively yet produces industry leading power at the approved dB level.
    • Trimax Stage 2: Uses a different sound-altering insert that partially lowers sound levels without losing the power increase gained in Stage 3.
    • Trimax Stage 3: Acts as an unrestricted core producing high dB levels with industry leading power throughout the entire RPM range.
  • Features a black powder coated exhaust shell, stainless euro end cap, rivet bands, and the HMF team sticker for a completely upgraded look.
  • Packed with high-performance glass wool packing.
  • Includes installation instructions.
  • Includes a USFS-Approved Spark Arrestor.
  • Includes a 2 Year Limited Manufacturer's Warranty.
  • Manufactured in the U.S.A.

Very Easy installation and extremely loud! :)

This HMF competition exhaust was very easy to install on my 2013 YFZ450. Jetting was easy as I only had to move a washer on the need as per the HMF instructions. This exhaust is EXTREMELY LOUD which is what I wanted and has a great tone. Very deep throaty tone. I would defiantly buy this if your looking for a loud and great sounding exhaust.

Good pipe

I like the sound it makes and extra power it gives. There is a noticeable power difference between the inserts. I had a little snag with installation. The doesn't tuck in under my rear fender all the way like the stock pipe did. I had to re work it some. This was mounted on a 2014 Yamaha Yfz450 r . Overall, I'm happy with it.

Will the fmf powerbomb header fit with the hmf competition slip on exhaust?

MotoSportExpert
FMF headers, whether it be the PowerBomb or the MegaBomb, are fitted to match an FMF series muffler. We do not recommend or guarantee you try to match it to a stock muffle or other brand muffler.

Yes the HMF Competition Slip-On Exhaust will fit your 2014 Suzuki LTZ400. Just be sure to correctly select the Year/Make/Model of your ATV before ordering so we can be sure to send you the correct exhaust for your ATV. It does not come with hardware, you would need to use the stock hardware. Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

Normally when installing a slip-on only minor jetting changes are needed, if any at all. If your bike is currently jetted properly you will likely not have to make any changes after installing this slip-on. I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the bike to see how it is running then tuning your carburetor from there if necessary.

Yes the HMF Competition Slip-On Exhaust would have a bracket and utilize the stock mounting points on your 2008 Honda 400. Feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

2013 trx 400x?
Would this slip on work with the fmf powerbomb header, and will I have to rejet everytime I change the end cap?
MotoSport Staff Expert
MotoSportExpert
Comparability of the two different brands can not be guaranteed but the HMF should fit with the FMF powerbomb. No, if your 2013 TRX400X is properly jetted you would not need to re-jet when changing the end cap. Feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the bike to see how it is running then tuning your carburetor from there if necessary. The sound of the HMF Competition Slip-On Exhaust would generally be the same when using the stock or HMF header. The most noticeable change in sound comes from the muffler.

The HMF Competition Series was designed and tested for Sport ATVs and Dirtbikes. It features 3 inserts that effect the sound and power differently, giving you complete control over the type of power and sound you need, when you need it.

What is required for me to install the slip on on my 2013 Yamaha raptor 350?
I'm looking to throw this pipe on a 2013 Yamaha raptor 350 is there any extras I would have to do such as jetting, air box changing or a cdi box anything like that?

Normally when installing a slip-on only minor jetting changes are needed, if any at all. If your machine is currently jetted properly you will likely not have to make any changes after installing this slip-on. I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the machine to see how it is running then tuning your carburetor from there if necessary.

There is nothing else required to install this exhaust. New gaskets is always suggested and possibly as mentioned a jet kit.
