Huge upgrade for me

I am a fairly new motorcyclist and I had an HJC CL-17 previously. This was an absolute jump for me. It is lighter, a little snugger, and a whole lot quieter. The pin-lock shield is amazing and I have not noticed fogging AT ALL. Although the helmet gets a little warm for me, a simple one notch raise of the visor solves the issue. Also I no longer have annoying bugs flying into my helmet which is AMAZING. Matches my bike flawlessly (2007 Honda CBR600RR) and looks GREAT with a mirrored visor. You can also ride at night with the mirrored visor on, but it is a little more dark at night. Not too bad though. 99% recommend this helmet.

Pretty Good Helmet

I bout this helmet after I crashed wearng a HJC Elbowz helmet. This helmet is a way different feel than the Elbowz. I feel much safer wearing this helmet because it contours to your face and is a snug fit. The only thing about the helmet I can complain about is its noisier than I anticipated, you'll notice the noise between 70-110. But for the price its feels like a lower end Shoei helmet. Good work HJC.

Not worth it

I have last years Spies signature model. For the money, which is pretty expensive, this helmet didn't satisfy. The padding comes loose and the noise level inside is really high. The vents don't seem to make much difference either. I honestly cannot tell when they r open or closed. On the other hand it looks really good but that only goes so far with me.

Size details..?
I use an helmet of size small, but to my surprise.. all the stores have the small size or xtra small as sold out. Please I would like to find out if the size medium of this helmet will fit perfectly for a size small. In terms of not looking too big for the small head in it.? Thank you.

The HJC RPHA 10 Helmets we have available would meet or exceed SNELL and D.O.T. standards. The helmet would need to be purchased in Australia in order to have the Australian standard sticker on the outside of the helmet.

Hi, How come the logo on you web site picture of the HJC RPHA10 is only an "R"? http://www.motosport.com/cruiser/HJC-RPHA-10-HELMET-BUZZSAW On all other sites I've checked, they all have the HJC logo. Regards /J

All images of this helmet I can find would have the "R" logo on the helmet just like the image shown. There are different graphic styles for this helmet that would have the HJC logo but as far as the "Buzzsaw" Graphic the only version I am finding would have the "R" logo on it. If you view this helmet on HJC's website [ http://hjchelmets.com/ ] it will also show you the same images we have on our website for this graphic scheme.

This helmet uses the HJC "HJ-20" Shield. These Shields have a "Pin-Lock" shield feature so you can put different inserts in. We also sell a combo that would include the shield and the pin-lock inserts.

This helmet will include a clear visor and anit-fog pinlock insert. It does not include a tinted visor and that would need to be purchased separately.

Is the face shield that comes with the helmet anti fog?
MotoSport Staff
2 years 4 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
Pinlock is the best anti fog solution for helmet visors according to many tests in motorcycle magazines world wide. That is why helmet manufacturers as Shoei, Arai, HJC, and many more are supplying their helmets standard with the Pinlock Original. Since this helmet comes with the pinlock insert it would be anti-fog with it installed.

1. Measure your head size. To do this, pass a tape measure horizontally around your head at a height of about one inch above your eye brows. When done properly, you will have measured the largest part of your head.

2. Check your measurement with the helmet sizing chart and select the closest size. As the helmet may not always meet your head size exactly, and your head measurement may fall between two sizes, first try the smaller size.

1. Expand the helmet opening by pulling outwards on each chinstrap, and slide your head into the helmet. If you are unfamiliar with helmets you may be reluctant to pull the helmet down, as it may feel too tight. Even if the helmet is difficult to put on, please use the smallest helmet possible. The helmet should feel snug. If the helmet is not tight, it is too big for you. New helmets will break in and loosen slightly over time.

2. Once the helmet is on:

  • Check that the helmet inner lining fits snugly all around your head.
  • Check that the top pad presses on the top of your head.
  • Check that the cheek pads press up against your cheeks. When you open and close your mouth, you should drag your teeth along the inside of your cheeks.
  • Check to make sure that you cannot easily slide your finger into the helmet along the side of your temple.
  • Hold the helmet with one hand on each side. Without moving your head, try to move the helmet up and down, and side to side. You should feel the skin of your head and face being pulled as you try to move the helmet. If you can move the helmet around easily, it is too big. Try a smaller size. Please note that during this check, the chinstraps should be properly fastened.
