I have an in between size head (7 1/8) small too tight and medium too big, so I usually order a small, I trimmed out some of the Styrofoam liner in the forehead area (which is easy to do in this helmet because of the removable liner) and it fits just right, I did order the 25mm cheek pads from a local WPS dealer for a cost of $35 with shipping for a better fit, helmet came with 30mm cheek pads. Red and black color matches my Honda perfectly, the vents actually work unlike some other helmets I have had. Nice helmet for the price, I don't intend on using the face shield just the open face with bill, which is how the helmet was delivered.
My head is like one of the character's from Gumby in the jeep. Like a big block! I have to make serious adjustments to helmets to fit comfortably. I was able to alter ear piece inserts to add intercom speakers and made it work properly. For the cost of this lid, it didn't bother me to rework it. It is nice and light.
I have a 3xl head and need a big helmet. I took a chance and ordered the 3xl, flat black style. Not very noisy, provided great wind protection and I really liked the drop down sunglasses style visor. The cheek pads were tight on my face so I took them out and it fit much better. Comfortable with out the cheek pads. I wore the helmet for 20 mins and it felt like my head was being squeezed from the front and back. Insta- headache! So I pulled back the padding and sanded the foam back until it custom fit my head. took about 2 hrs to get it right. Now...the helmet fits like a glove and I wear it all the time.
This helmet has become my favorite helmet. Very good wind protection. A little noise, not enough to make it annoying. Comfortable. It has integrated retractable visor. I just wish it was less rounded. Not everyone has a round head!
