  • FMF adds the Powercore 2 silencer to its arsenal of 2-stroke exhaust options because FMF is brand that knows how to maximize power for any terrain.
  • The sleeve of the Powercore 2 silencer is constructed from extruded aluminum to provide a lightweight design. FMF incorporated a tuned perforated core for exceptional performance.
  • FMF made sure the Powercore 2 silencer was also durable by using stainless steel on the performance flow end cap and the stinger.
  • FMF makes it easy to perform maintenance on the Powercore 2 silencer by using removable bolts to break it down.

First Time Purchase

Product came as shown and shipping was out faster than I expected. Had a moment of panic until I realized the silencer support tab was missing and we had to weld a new on to the frame. Very pleased with the purchase and service.

FMF IS AWESOME.

I Really enjoy the clean and mean sound of FMF. the setup is a FMF Fatty header with a FMF powercore2 silencer on a trx250r stroker. It's quick.

WOW!

This exhaust silencer is about the best you can get.She sounds mean! It makes it even better when you hook it up with a fatty pipe.Definetly felt the difference in power and powerband.Very durable. The fatty and powercore 2 have been on my 280cc 2002 Yamaha blaster for 2 years! Well worth it!

Works as it should

This silencer really works good i was going to get a shorty but I decided to go with the powercore2 because I do more woods riding. I love it because it made my power band on my KTM more snappy with out being to much for the woods.

Used as a replacement for stock

The stock exhaust on my sons PW50 was damaged and I replaced it with this aftermarket silencer. No power gains since I only have the silencer. I do plan on getting the fatty pipe but this silencer fits well with the stock header.

Power Improved

This really smoothed out the power and response on a 1997 RM250, and it also added a little more power...HIGHLY RECOMMEND

2002 CR250 Excellent Fit

Great aftermarket silencer. Sounds beautiful! I installed with with a new Fatty pipe and got a great power increase across the power band. The rear-most attaching bracket rubs a little on the rear fender, but other than that, absolutely perfect fit.

Yes. Just be sure to correctly select the Year/Make/Model of your bike before ordering so we can be sure to send you the correct silencer for your bike. Also, feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

Would this pipe fit a 1999 CRM250AR?
Just wondering if it would be the same pipe as a 99 cr250? As the CRM250ar is pretty rare, thanks.

All products sold on Motosport.com are for US models only. We do NOT have product fitment for non-us models. I would check with a local dealership in your area to see if the pipe and silencer on your 1999 CRM250AR is the same as the US model 1999 Honda CR250.

I would say the FMF Powercore 2 Silencer is as loud or slightly louder (not very noticeably) than a well packed stock muffler.

Is it quiet?
I am looking for a pipe for the woods and need it to be quiet so I was wondering if it would make my bike quieter

The FMF PowerCore is not the quietest product that they make. The Q series exhaust would be quietest exhaust silencer they make.

FMF does not have exact product dimensions for their FMF Powercore 2 Silencer. In general the canister is 6-8" long for most models.

Which would be better for trail riding and hare scrambles on a 2 stroke the powercore 2 or the powercore 2 shorty?
MotoSport Staff Expert Top 1 Contributor

MotoSportGrantK
The FMF Powercore 2 Shorty will give you more power in the bottom to mid range of the power band which would be better for tighter tracks/ trails. The FMF Powercore 2 will give you more power throughout the entire power band just not as much on the bottom like the shorty will. I would take this into consideration and go with the one that best suits where you will be riding and where in the power band you want more power.

Can I just bolt straight on to the stock header or do I need to do any mods for it to fit this besides jetting the carb ?

I have a 2003 kx 100 and i was wondering how much quieter it would make it?

This silencer will most likely make your bike louder. Unfortunately I don't have the sound decibel specs for your stock silencer. I would recommend trying the FMF Turbinecore 2 Q Silencer which measures 94db and is going to be one of the quietest aftermarket silencers available for your 2003 Kawasaki KX100.
