Great sound, Great performance

I put this on my 2015 KX450f. Bolted right on and took me maybe 10 minutes. The fit was absolutely perfect. Sound is so much better than the stock muffler and it is a bit quieter as well which I wanted. And motosport.com is the place to get it too! Definitely the least expensive I was able to find and they ship it for free!

FMF is top of the line!!!!

I bought this full system for my 2015 kx 450f. Bolted right on. It looks insanely good. The "American Made" right on the muffler just tops it off. I felt a huge boost with the mid to top end in EVERY gear. It pulls so much harder and longer in every gear. Especially felt it in second and third. I steer with my rear wheel so it just fits my bike-style perfect. My bike sounds much deeper and meaner. It is also quieter than the obnoxious stock system on the KX. Ive read that the megabomb header offers a little more hit right off the bottom... cant wait to try that out too. FMF makes the best exhaust for an awesome price. FMF for life!!!

A: The FMF 4.1 exhaust here comes complete. You may need a fuel controller to restore the correct air/fuel ratio for your machine.

Q: Fitment?
2 years 3 months ago
Hi I have a 2010 crf250r and I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust and I like the FMF 4.1 but I was just wondering with the anodized carbon 4.1 wouldn't fit my bike but the titanium would? I thought any FMF muffler would fit on any FMF header? Thank you -Channing

A: Yes, Normally when switching to a full aftermarket exhaust you would want to tune your fuel mapping for optimal performance. I would recommend looking at the FMF EFI Power Programmer for this FMF Exhaust System.

Q: Would the bike need re-tuned after installing this exhaust?
I am considering putting this on a 12 Kawi 450 and I am wondering if I am going to have to have the bike plugged in and retuned to run at it's capable power range. Or, does the computer automatically adjust for the pipe? Also. What about just buying a pipe and no header??

A: The tuning can really vary based on your location. Typically when installing an exhaust it is a good idea to re-map the Fuel Injection to take full advantage of the exhaust. As a note, some bikes even without an exhaust installed, can benefit from re-mapping to have the bike run properly for the location at which it is being ridden.
