Fly shorty boots

I bought these for my husband who is a size 11.5. He tried them on and was amazed at the fit and comfort. Nice for a long ride because there flexible and great for walking around in because of the short tennis shoe like fit. He used them right out of the box and went for a long 50 mile ride over rocky terrain and loved them.

Good boot just not for me

This boot looked like a good boot but just wasn't for me so I returned. However the custormer service was amazing. I ended up ordering a different shorty boot from Motosport. Just keep in mind if you are looking for a variety of products and want excellent customer service, fast shipping and live people to talk to, order from Motosport.com

Minimal investment

This boot was chosen because of its cost to feature ratio. Not riding often, once per week for about 3 hours, but when doing so, desiring protection with minimal investment was the goal. I believe it is worth the price.............so far, the future will tell how well it holds up. As per other reviewers, the chemical - plastic odor was horrific! I hosed them down liberally and placed them in the sun to cook out..............which they did after a couple of days exposure. Sizing and fit: I wear an 8.5 men's size shoe. I ordered a size 9 to accommodate an extra pair of socks. I should have ordered a size 8 as it takes four pairs of socks to fill the boot with my foot, so..............they run large. Style is in line with current technology for such an item, nothing to brag about, style is way back for my concern, I want a good return on investment, satisfactory performance considering the price paid. Comfort is OK, riding boots in general are not designed to walk in, like ski boots, you would be hard pressed to walk very far in them. They are designed to take harsh treatment contacting the ground as one rides and they do that that well, at least for the type of riding I do here in the outback of Baja, Mexico. Durability is yet to be determined as they are still relatively new, so far holding up, only time will tell that story. Performance is acceptable for the application intended. I am happy with the purchase and glad to meet my needs without investing hundreds of dollars to do so.

Great boots

I put hem on right out of the box and went riding, and I couldn't find anything I didn't like about them, great boots.

Depends

I liked the buckles, the extra ankle support compared to others and of course the price. I did not like how stiff they are, not to crazy about the break in of these boots. But the main problem I had with them, seems a little silly, but they have a very strong vinyl smell, that I really couldn't handle.

Great bang for the buck

Fits good, comfortable, and grips the pegs great.

I tried these boots because I was having a hard time finding a tall boot that would fit my calves. The boots seemed to be high quality, but even though they were wider than other boots I have tried, they were still a little too narrow for my feet. I can't fault the design of the boot. I just have wide (4E) feet.

Great boot

Easy to put on, no hassle with the clips. Love being able to adjust the fit of the clips.

Got them delivered to my office so I just had to try them out. wore them all day no problem.

A: Yes these would be men's sizing. I recommend going to a dealership where you can try the boots on or going to a shoe store where you can measure your foot.

Q: Are the boots O.K. for walking comfortable?
I an looking for a dirt/road book that are O.K. for walking, I have MX boots and looking for a general purpose boot that I can go to the for a walk around town with and light dirt work with

A: These will be better for walking around than a standard MX style boot. They still have an incredibly stiff sole and truthfully, the comfort of walking around is not a huge aspect when the boots are designed. They are designed to be stiff and protective in ways that a typical hiking boot or work boot are not.

Q: Do they weigh less then normal boots?

A: Due to the shorter size and less material being used they will be lighter. It wont be a huge difference as most of the weight on the boots is carried in sole and lower portion of the boot, but they will be lighter. The weight savings will vary in between different brands and different models so it is impossible to say how much lighter overall they will be.

Q: Can you use knee/shin guards with adventure boots?
Will the adventure boots fit together with the guards or should I just use the adventure boot or do i buy a lower above ankle boot to fit with the guards?

A: Knee and Shin Guards work well with the standard off-road type boots. These Maverik boots are about hiking boot height and the knee/shin guards won't reach the boot depending on your leg length. This can cause the guard to twist since you aren't tucking it into the boot itself. You can use knee/shin guards with either style boot, but it's up to each individual person on whether or not it works for them.
