Per my first review, this unit will NOT give you increased power with the Power Commander. This applies to the SV 650 and was stated on the PC3, although it will function. For the SV, the increase in bottom end and midrange torque is amazing. Don't expect much top end gain though, it just won't happen. In my previous review I indicated the advancer had sheared on startup... I now have nearly twenty thousand miles on the replacement advancer and it hasn't let me down.

Its easy to install and yes it works fine with my power commander. I noticed a much quicker throttle response and took all of about 5 mins to install
I bought this upgrade for my 2007 SV650 hoping for an easy HP and Torque increase. However, upon installing the "ignition advancer" and starting my bike I heard a very unsettling sound from the engine. After shutting off my bike and removing the ignition cover to investigate, I found the woodruff key had sheared, thus allowing my flywheel to rotate out of control. This said ignition advancer is quite simply a woodruff key with an offset in it. If you really want performance gains save your time and money for a Power Commander or Bizzaz.. The Power Commander won't work with the advancer anyways so you'll just be wasting your money. I'm not sure on Bizzaz but I wouldn't risk it. I'll be heading to the local machine shop to see if they can fabricate another key for me so I can try again... By the way, this woodruff key is the same on all 99-09 SV650's/1000's, TL1000S's/R's, Haybusa's, and V-Strom's per the sticker on the package so if you want to save some $$$, the offset is .031 inches from a .157inch width. I measured it with a caliper at work just out of curiosity... Per metric units it is actually 3.98mm with a .94mm offset. Good luck in the search for power!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \m/ *U* \m/
