Great Product/Sticker

I ordered these temp stickers a little over a year ago. I am a active rider and try too wash my bike every ride. I placed one sticker on the jug of my Yamaha YZ 450 F and one on the radiator. Neither sticker has even started to peel off or loose its grip and both still work great . I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for an easy way to ease your mind about engine/coolant temps.

they work great thanx..

They do the job and do it well.

I purchased as a skeptic, but soon realised they work, when on a lap, I look over my radiator and see it light up! Really eases my mind with overheating issues.

How hot is my 250?

I was concerned about how hot my old KX 250 was getting. Purchased these and stuck one on the cylinder. Either I'm not riding hard enough or my cooling system works very good. These temperature stickers will give you a piece of mind.

Keeps my temps in check

Stuck it on top of the radiator on my YZ450F so I can peak over the plastic and glance at the color. The color coding is nice - green in the middle=all is well. Gives me an idea of what the temperature of my coolant is - it's just a general guide since the heat has to be absorbed through the radiator then into the sticker. Make sure to clean the aluminum with an alcohol or similar product before you stick it. I used brake cleaner on a rag. Holds well, no problems.

Great Temp Stix

These have lasted two years and are still going. I have one on the left rad and one right on the engine. Gives me a great idea what the temp is at when riding. Surprisingly enough, the pressure washer hasn't blasted these off yet.
Great buy!

Better than a burnt up motor

I was having trouble with My CRF450R water pump leaking after just being rebuilt. I race cross country, and these stickers enabled me to keep racing my bike even though I was losing coolant. I replaced the old '05 CRF with a new 2011 450 sx-f, but I did slap one of these on the top of the radiator and one on the motor.

Good to know.

Bought this because I had a cooling issue that I needed to be sure was resolved. Riding in southern Texas Hare Scrambles and Motocross you can't guess that things are going to be ok. Any thing that helps you to know things are working right is always a plus.

Q: How do you know when your bike is to hot does the stcker turn a certain color?

A: the heat it is running at will reflect on the stick as per box. it will go up and down depending on how hot it is

A: Not all bikes run at the same temperature. These stickers are very helpful in obtaining an accurate temperature of the component they are placed on. To know if your bike is too hot or not you would have to refer to your bikes specific owners manual. One of the biggest factors of a bikes normal temperature is if your bike is a four stroke or a two stroke.

Q: Just wanting a decent estimate on how long these stickers last?? Will they start to wear or stop working over time?

A: These are really stout. I've seen these last a while on my buddies bike. I would hit it directly with a pressure washer, as that might peel them off.
1 year 4 months ago Location: Centerville, IN, USA
A: The answer to this question depends on a lot of different factors. For example your riding style / riding conditions along with how well you take care of your bike and or how often you wash your bike. Like with anything yes it will eventually wear, but I can personally vouch that if you take good care of your bike and wash it regularly you will get your moneys worth. I have had these stickers on my bike for a year and a half now and they show no signs of peeling/loosing their grip. They work just as good as the day I bought them.
Q: Custom fit.?

temperatures on two strokes and four strokes are different. does it come with different applications? like the head temperature mainly??? a four stroke gets hot but two strokes stay pretty cool in comparison.

A: These are not bike specific and you can put them anywhere you want to read temperature.
1 year 4 months ago Location: Centerville, IN, USA
A: The application of these stickers for a 2 stroke or a 4 stroke is the same. Yes not all bikes run at the same temperature but the temperature range on these stickers are large enough too cover both 2 stroke and 4 stroke safe operating temps. To find out what your bikes normal operating temperature is refer to your bikes operators manual.

A: On the top left radiator is a great place. That is my return side and will be the hottest place.

Q: Exactly where does everyone place these?on top of radiaters @cylender walls?

Over 7 years ago Location: Portland, OR
A: Most of time you put them on the side of the cylinder wall.. I guess it's your call over all, but they will work basically anywhere you want to read a temperature.
1 year 4 months ago Location: Centerville, IN, USA
A: Where you place the stickers depends on what temperatures you are concerned about. A lot of riders place them on their radiators, cylinders, and oil case. Or you can split them up among different bikes. I ride a Yamaha YZ 450 f and I have one sticker on my radiator and one on my cylinder head. The third one I gave to my son for the head of his Yamaha TTR 125. It is best to place the stickers on the cleanest, flattest area of the component you wish to observe. Not on any uneven or dirty surfaces. The more metal that comes into contact with the back of the sticker the better.
