When you crank the bike the meter will show your current RPM's. When you kill the bike it will show the highest RPM you had since the bike was last cranked. (This only displays for a few seconds.) Then, the hour meter will display. It's the only was to accurately track your maintenance."

"This thing was a breeze to install, and the bracket makes it easy to place directly in view. The mount bracket, however, does pose a problem with the 2010-13 YZ450F, because the fuel tank bolt is recessed too far down to allow clearance for the bracket. I had to buy a longer bolt and mount it onto one side of the air box cover with a spacer. The meter allows me to see RPM's while the engine is running and immediately tells me peak RPM when I shut it off, in addition to monitoring my run time."
