"I have purchased both oem pistons and wiseco the wiseco is forged not cast also the overal machineing is by far superior the tolerence is way better you wont go wrong with the wisecoproduct I have rebuild a 65 kx a 85 yz a cr125 a cr250 and a cr500 never had a problem.just let the bike warm up before riding is the best advise I can give. also clean your air filter any quality oil and yo will be good for the season. my cr 250 2001 has had nothing but prolites for over 10 years on the origonal boar."

But, with the economy the way it is ..." "I've never replaced a piston before in a four stroke. But, with the economy the way it is I thought I would give it a try. Changing the piston is pretty simple but you have to take a lot of items off the bike to access the piston. I found this Wiseco top-end kit worked great for my KX250F. Everything worked perfectly including the gaskets and rings. I've put 50 hours on my bike since the piston replacement and it is running great!"
