Wiseco Pro-Lite 4-Stroke Piston Wiseco Pro-Lite 4-Stroke Piston Yamaha736 - Morgantown, WV, USA A good durable piston "It is a good durable piston and you get what you ask for. The only problem I have is that it doesn't come with the gaskets needed when you replace your old piston."

Wiseco Pro-Lite 4-Stroke Piston Wiseco Pro-Lite 4-Stroke Piston Trent - Newalla, Oklahoma City, OK 74857, USA Great Product "I have used wiseco pistons in a number of bikes over the years everything from a RM65, YZ85, CRF250R and then this particular time in my sons 2012 YZ250F. His bike was way overdue for a new topend! Usually I have zero problems with the install, but this one was a little different. The circle clips were very difficult to install compared to previous installs, but with some patients and small set of needle nose pliers I got them in, what made it a bit frustrating was when I looked at the video on wiseco installing them the guy snapped them in with his thumbs like it was nothing. That was not the case with ours? Not sure if the guy had super thumbs or if ours were a stiffer clip? Either way, with some patients we got them installed. Second the center oil ring did not want to seat, it took several attempts to no avail to get it to stay in the groove as we put the cylinder back on, ended up having to use a different center oil ring. Not sure if we damaged it on our first install attempt or it was bad from the beginning? Again I have installed many of these and its the first time I have had problems with one. As for performance? Wow what a difference! The bike was way overdue for a freshen up and man did this new piston/rings make it come alive, my son felt like he had a new bike again!"

A Wise Man Builds Pistons

One day in 1940, Clyde Wiseman began making pistons in his garage on the east side of Cleveland. Initially his creations were for himself and a couple of friends. As with all high quality products - word got out. A year later, Wiseman founded Wiseco Piston.

Wiseco is now headquartered in Mentor, OH and their garage is a 150,000 square-foot facility with state-of-the-art forging and CNC machining equipment. Today, Wiseco manufactures clutch baskets, crankshafts and camshafts among other components but the company's name is synonymous with pistons. In fact, the Wiseco piston is the only U.S. manufactured forged pistons for the motorsports market.
