I can see
For those that have the KTM EXC’s 08-11 you know how bad the stock 35w lights suck, Here is a great option for a reasonable price. I went with the Trail Tech 100w stator and the 70w Halogen Off-road headlight assembly. The Trail tech instructions are second to none simple to follow and was easy to install both kits. If you’re looking to figure out what lights to go with check out the TRAIL TECH link for light comparisons. http://trailtech.net/light_comparison.html

Poor Design
You had better not expect to take rocks with this thing. The X2 light needs a rock guard that used to come with the unit. They stopped including this guard because the light melts it after extended rides. So, the solution is what? Ride without it. That's right, instead of fixing the problem they have decided to suggest you go without it. Anyway, thats a problem for those of us who ride trail & take rocks, eh? I must say that Motosport made a large error in not updating the photo of this product with one showing NO rock guard. It is even more irritating since Trail Tech stopped including the guards 3 years ago. Come on, Motosport. Bottom Line: Buy Something Else.

Can this light be mounted on a 2002 KDX 220 without any modifications?
The electrical on the bike is stock.

Unfortunately the stator output on the KDX220 will only run a 30/35 watt headlight. That will not be enough to run this headlight which is 70 watts. You can have the stock stator rewound by Ricky Stator or look into purchasing a higher output aftermarket stator.

Headlights for klx250?

Yes, your model originally came with a lighting system so adding the Trail Tech X2 would be pretty simple to install. It would need to be mounted and the wires from the headlight connected to your existing wiring for lighting.
