Not so great for delicate foot work

Cons: The inner hinge on this boot is quite protrusive, and when the boot is flexed downward, this hinge has a tendency to flair out and protrude even more. The end result is that it catches quite consistently and annoying on the subframe of my '02 RM 125. The boots are quite stiff in both the upper regions when flexing, and in the sole, when feeling for the pegs/shifter/brake. The thick TA sole feels bulky and cumbersome compared to the more modern molded soles, seeming to ride the foot quite high off the peg, but that may be an unfair critique considering its lower price point. Lastly, the ankle area is rife with pressure points, at least on my ankles.

Pros: The boot is absolutely indestructible, and is very well constructed. They look really good. They feel lighter than most hinged boots. The toe area is quite slim for easy shifting, however, the hard and slippery TPU plastic that wraps around the toe area doesn't allow for great grab on the shifter at extreme angles and contributes to a slightly muted feel against the shifter.

Bottom Line: Not a great boot if you're trying to do the kind of frequent and fancy footwork that MX gurus like Gary Semic preach. This boot seems to me like an attempt to throw a hinge on a mid-price-point boot in order to grab some quick sales, but it just doesn't pull it off.

My last boot was a sidi crossfire ,and I decided to give these a try. They are a little stiff to start out but the fit is great and they are very adjustable .my only real complaint and it is probably my own fault, is the picture of the orange boot is not true to color. It is a fluorescent orange not Goodyear orange like the picture. But the item color does say flo orange ,so I guess I'm dumb. So far happy with the boot , lighter then my crossfires , hope they last as long

Most comfortable boots ever

I had a pair of fox boots that tore and i had a harescramble so not even broken in I wore the Sidi. I assumed i would suffer for it. Nada! These boots are awesome. Now that i have ridden with them several times they feel like house shoes. The only thing i am not happy with is the metal toe guard. Caught it on a root already and tore a screw out. Other than complaints

Sidi Charger

I up graded from a pair of cheap $100 worn out boots to the Chargers. So far they have been well worth the investment. I wear a size 11 shoe and have a narrow foot. The size 11(45) Sidi's fit great. They were a little tight in the ankle at first but have broke in well after a couple rides. It's not the cheapest boot, but, it's a mid level price for a high end boot. Great value.

Great price for a quality boot

I have used these 5 riding days and they feel awesome. Fit is perfect. 1 day to break in, if that.

Great boots

These things are tough! I can't even feel the trees and crud whacking the boots. I don't even think about it. They do take some breaking in...getting more comfortable each time out. They also take a little fiddling to get adjusted, but once they're how you want them, that's it. Set 'em and forget 'em!

Awesome Boots

I had heard that Sidi's have little to no break-in period and man are they right. Right out the box they were as flexible and confortable as my Tech 3's were after 100 hours. Now they feel even better after a few rides. Don't waste money on lesser boots, these are worth every cent.

Best boots

best boots for the money. true to size, feels great, knee braces fit awesome, buckles are sweet, low toe box to feel shifter, broken in feel right out of the box, not a bad thing to say here.

I love them

Thes are the best boots I have ever owned. They break in fast and are comfortable. You will never miss a shift with them. Very well worth the money!!

Never riding another boot again

These are hands down the best boots for the money, I tried SG10, Sg12, tech 10s, tech 8s, and thor quadrants. (riding buddies are all my shoe size he he)

First time riding them i was impressed beyond words, They are comfortable, they are good looking and i swear you can shift as fast as being in tennis shoes, Also the buckles are the easiest and best designed that i have come across. They run about normal, i have a size ten foot, with B-C width, and got the 11's. I also advise buying some Underarmor heat socks, they work great with this boot!

Q: Sizing of wide feet?
1 year 11 months ago
I currently am using Alpinestars Tech 6's that are 13 years old and have been great boots. The upper has finally broken down and the boots need to be replaced. I wear a 13 EE street shoe. Am I ok going with the Sidi Charger or should I look elsewhere?

A: The SIDI Charger Boots would have a leather panel where the tongue opens up to help keep water out of the boots but these boots are not completely waterproof.
Q: How wide do these boots run? Is there an option to get them in wide?

A: These boots tend to run very true to normal shoes as a far as sizing goes. Unfortunately there is not an option for a "Wide" SIDI Charger Boot.

Q: Is this a good choice of boot for enduro/XC racing? I seem to go through boots fast so I'm looking for a tough boot.?

A: Yes, the Sidi charger boot is a great choice. Sidi also makes the Crossfire boots which have more replaceable parts and features.
Q: I wear a size 9 to 9.5 US boot, what size should I get in these boots?

A: It tough to say without having you try them on. These boots tend to run pretty spot on as a far as sizing goes. I personally like my boots on the tight side. I would go with a size 9. If for any reason these do not fit, we have a very generous return/exchange policy to ensure you can get a boot that will fit properly.
