Yeah you will notice a difference, more fluid in the reservoir means the fluid is going to stay cooler so your brakes wont fade after riding for a little bit. So it definitely helps out.

Yes, this is definitely an upgrade from your stock set up. As long as you bleed the brakes right you shouldn't have any spongy feeling running this set up.
