Keeps the filter clean!

These are great for protecting my filter from dust and sand. It really extends the life of my filter, and I can go an extra ride or two without cleaning it. Wash them and reuse!

Filterskins

Several times a year we take excursions into the Nevada desert lasting several days to a week. There are places where the dust is like flour and deep as your shifter lever. Filterskins allow you to have a fresh surface on your air filter without cleaning the entire element. I take off the old one and put on a fresh one every evening at campsite while riding in these conditions. My KTM always runs well in these dirty, dusty conditions using Filterskins.

Awesome

These things rock, ran through all of Baja 1000, even silt beds up to your seat. Pull the filter skin off and its caked with dirt looks like a piece of dirty leather but the filter underneath looks fresh ready for another ride! Did not suck any dirt through after 12000 miles of very dusty conditions and extended filter changes thanks to filterskins! Good cheap investment to protect your expensive motor! BRAAAP

Pulled airfilter off

I don't like to complain but these filter skins wouldn't stay on my filter when applying them. I made a pit stop and pulled the skin off my air filter while refueling in a race. I didn't know til later that it was sucking sand into my new kx450f . i wasn't pleased

Filter skin sizing/type?
I just purchased the Two Brothers Air Filter with Bracket for my '04 suzuki dr-z110 and would like to add a filter skin to it, because it's so open and close to the ground. can you tell me which one i should order? thanks.

The PC Racing Skins for Short Clamp on pod filters will be your best bet for this application on your DR-Z110. If you are concerned with the location of the filter, BBR Motorsports has a filter relocation kit called the U-flow. It moves the filter out of harms way of the front tire roost.

Do you have to oil this too or can you just leave it like it is and put it over you oiled filter?
MotoSport Staff Expert

typically you don't oil the filter skin, because you layer a few on the filter.

Does this product eliminate the need for an air box lid?
Expert MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: Portland, OR
These do not take the place of your air box lid. These are to be used over the existing air filter when riding dusty/sandy areas. You typically install all 3 skins over the filter and remove each skin as it gets dirty. This allows you to keep a clean filter under extreme conditions.

Is there a specific kind of oil you use or can you use normal filter spray?

I would suggest a light filter spray. but any filter oil will work.

Will this fit over a K + N filter?
i ride a 2003 suzuki z400 and my filter covers on my K+N air filter its wearing and tearing bad and i dont like riding it without that filter cover will this fit over it? all answers will be deaply appretiated thank you

I would recommend a pre-filter instead. Check out these we offer on our website: http://www.motosport.com/atv/search/?words=pre%20filter The reason I say run a prefilter is because you can reuse them, these filter skins are a one time use only. Once they get dirty you have to throw them away.

Sizing a pc air "filter skin"?
I have a Suzuki DRZ 400S bike, and want the proper size filter skin. Because my air filter is somewhat cone shaped, I don't know where to measure the diameter of the filter....ie, the base is larger than the other end of the filter... Suggestions?
MotoSport Staff
Over 5 years ago Location: Portland, OR
Measure the end of the filter that seals up to the air box at the biggest point and get the size closest to it. I want to say you'll need a 6-8 but you might want to double check that.
